| For the past 9 years I have almost exclusively rode Windrock and in need of a change. After seeing many posts and pictures from SxS members, I think I have found my new spot to go. This will be my first trip to Brimestone and I'm asking for some trail suggestions. Anything with creeks and such is a plus.
Thanks for the help.

| I have only rode Brimestone once, and I must say it is awesome! I absolutly loved it! In couple of weeks we are going to ride Royal Blue but I am sure from what I am hearing there is no comparison to Brimestone. I am not to familiar with the trails. But, there is a bunch here who are and I am sure they will chime in shortly. | |

| Brimstone has a lot to offer. There is not a lot in the way of creeks. You will cross one every now and then, but they purposely design the trails to keep people from doing too much damage in the water. If you are brave there is a river crossing down behind the jail. I personally would not attempt it with my machines, but if you are snorkeled and like to play in deep water, go for it. Any of the trails with "Y" in it are considered steep and extreme. There are plenty of challenging trails without getting on 89Y&75Y. 49 is a good one. You can get a map online and look at all the trails. http://www.brimstonerecreation.com/trails.phpThere are several here that have ridden it more than I have. Maybe they can chime in too. | |

| For a first trip, call ahead to the brimstone office and ask for Stak, he will be glad to lay out a list of trails based on what kind of riding you want. | |

| I ride Windrock most of the time too but I really do love Brimstone. I always buy a yearly pass for both places every year. Gunny is right, Stakk knows all the trails and can suggest a good route depending on the difficulty you want.
Actually, I like to stay at Windrock and ride over to Brimstone and come back to Windrock via trail 57. We have a route that is 75 miles long going that way. Being that I am off this Monday about 4 of us are going to make that little ride. Oh yeah, you also have to have a Tenn hunting license and a small game stamp as we also cross some TWRA managed property. Since I live south of Windrock it takes me over an hour more to get to Brimstone. Granted, I have to ride about 4 miles or so of gravel to get to the first trail to Brimstone but to me it is worth it. Either way, Brimstone to me has a lot less rocks than Windrock.

| Hey LT, the trail across the creek was one of my favorite rides of the day. We went solo from the jail end and went back to the main trails. we got side tracked somehow and got off the Brimstone trail. But did get to make the big hill climb and drove past a nice cabin with a sign that said please enjoy anything outside the cabin. the river was not that deep and we got to ride down it a good ways to cross the trail. Signage could have been better there for me since it was my fist ride. | |

Nothing at all if you are into really steep, rutted, rooty and potentially dangerous trails. If that is your style of riding then hit it WFO.

I am not sure if I know the exact trail you are talking about, but I think I do. I have gotten some great riding in down there this year.

| I think trail 89 cross the creek a few times. Also, 49 (red trail) runs in the creek for a short time. | |
