I watched a doe on time in a field. The grass was about knee high so I could not figure out what the does was so curious about. She would drop her head, as to "sniff" something. Her head would jerk back, then she would take a few steps and repeat the process. After watching her for about ten minutes from my truck, it became clear. There was a housecat in the tall grass and the deer was curious. The cat was cool until the deer would get its nose too close, and the cat was swatting at the deer's face. I thought it was pretty comical.
