Homemade Gun Rack Holder Empty
PostSubject: Homemade Gun Rack Holder   Homemade Gun Rack Holder EmptyMon Nov 02, 2009 8:52 pm

Hey guys I have a 2008 ranger. I am trying to figure a way to make a home made gun rack for it. I had these gun racks on my Rincon. I was thinking of fixing something up to mount into the holes on the bed and come up and attached the gun holders to. I then found out there is a flang inside the hole and it makes it hard to find a piece of pipe that will fit in because of the little lip inside and the hole tapers.

So now I'm thinking about using a U bolt to attach a pipe to the roll cage that comes out 8 inches then having another pipe come back to attach to the rollcage sort of like a stiff knee. Anyone got any suggestions or pictures of what they have come up with. I am going to Ohio on Saturday to hunt and really would like to get something together before I go.

Cant help ya here with anything I have. If I had a Ranger though with all that floor space inside, I would be mounting one in the cab in the center like the cops do their shotguns. Keeping them out of the weather and clean would be a priority.

pirate, go to the big-box store (HD or Lowes) and get some 1-1/2 ridged pipe clamps. I'd bet you could get something to work with those..
