| I love the Rhino. It would be totally awesome if it had more power and a little better suspension with more travel. I rode it during deer season (first hunting season I have used it) and was very pleased about how good it handled hauling stands, deer, wood, etc.
The RZR S is a heck a lot of fun. I do not like the extra small bed on it, but it is a fine trail machine. It has plenty of power, handles rough trails with ease, and climbs like nobody's business.
I have not owned any other SxS so I cannot comment about the pros and cons of those.

| I believe the majority have jumped from Rhino to RZR. I love my rhino and it has held up to more abuse than I ever could have imagined. My main reason for buy the RZR S was purely performance. Now that I have driven it about 300 miles the overall experience of a SXS is better in just about every area. My complaints or dislikes compared to the Rhino are comfort, room, gas mileage, air box setup, and mud in the cab. However the pluses to me far out way the negatives. As with the shortcomings of a Rhino all of the above can be remedied with spending some money. My .02. Good luck with the shopping. | |

| I'm a quadruple...........Real-life hurts............ Rhino #1 June 2007 to Nov. 2007,07 450. I knew when I got it home, I made a mistake. Not knocking the machine, but for ME, a certified speed-freak, I was not impressed in the speed catagory. I put , if I remember correct, 500 miles on it, a Dyna-Tek box, Tip, HW sheave. Never broke, always dependable, buttttttt. Rhino #2 November 2007 to Aug 2009, 07 Rhino 660, Lots of fun, lots of dollars, still miss it, it just kinda Fit me. I'm a tinkerer, it was fun to see it go from 41 mph stock to, my last reading was 63...........but it was about 6k later.........whew. 1300 miles, never broke, again always dependable, even with the mods.
Polaris RZR-S 09, Aug 09 to Nov 09 Great machine, little cheezy on the build-quaility side. My first Po-Po. Great trail machine, very capable, very quick. But again ,I'm a tinkerer, nothing much to tinker with, it's all there already, pretty much, so I got bored with it quickly....... no storage, no room for family. Took the 3800.00 doller hit and moved on.......Lesson learned.
Polaris Ranger XP-800 SE Nov 09....till......... I'll have to say I'm so impressed with this thing after only 47 miles, I'd park it in the bedroom if I could.............It is something I can tinker with, it has room for three, I can carry almost anything along, it will scoot, stock 54mph GPS. It is, IMO, the replacement for the Rhino at this stage of the game. It out-shines it, and will out-run it, by a mile. Stock to stock ,of course.

| Had an 08 700 Rhino , loved it. pretty much trouble free. Took me everywhere i wanted to go. Needed more power , but i made due. Rode ok at best with stock suspension. But could carry a lot. very good all round SXS. But needs an upgrade. Now have an 09 RZR S. I really love it. it has as much power as you would need for the woods. Rides 100% better than the Rhino. and has a whole lot more power. better gearing. low gear is a true low gear. Climbs better than any SXS i ever seen. and a whole lot more fun to drive. been on 2 rides with it. and had no trouble so far. only a few things i dont like opposing the Rhino. it is a little harder to clean. and you have a smaller bed. so you cant carry as much. Things i had to work at on the Rhino. the S does with no problem at all. but if you are a ruff rider. the S is the ultimate trail machine. if i had it to do all over again. i would still have gotten the S ...... | |

| 2 rhinos love them. Absolutely the best fit for my needs. looked at the polaris S, didnt waste my time test driving it. Test drove the ranger xp, liked it. but has a made in china feel to it. Of course i was judging them to my needs and thats why i chose the rhinos.Overall the quaility and workmanship is superior in my opinion. | |

| Pate, maybe if we get together on another ride soon maybe I could try out your Ranger for a mile or two. I have never ridden one farther than across the parking lot at the dealer. | |

| I started with a 08 Arctic cat 650, it was big, would go most places, needed more power was more of a good farm or ranch machine than a fun trail machine. Then bought a 09 rzr Le, after the mods to widen it out, 1.5" spacers, ITP wheels/tires and highlifter springs and a roktek lift it was a awesome trail machine every bit as capable of going anywhere my new S can go. then got my 2010 S, it has a little more power is a little wider and rides a little better but all in all its not much different than my LE, it too will take you anywhere your sac is big enough to try. To me and i have researched the rhino and teryx plus watched them on the trail and the rzr has no equal at this time when it comes to moderate to extreme trail riding. | |

| november 2007-present.only had a 08 grizzly 700 FI EPS before this, used it alot for duck hunting and i liked the power steering since im 14 .but i drove a 660 grizzly couple times at the farm and wasnt ttoo bad to steer.the 4X4 system worked great . this thing would fly out at the farm though,i had it going 64 and the throttle screw was still in about half.great power for a wheeler and plenty for me.it will crawl up anything if you want it too.in my opinion a great atv no doubt.1404 miles later i would buy another one.december 08-present 09 yamaha rhino 700FI,this thing is cool, but is more a work/trail machine,i like the big bed in the back to haul der stands, firewood, camping supplies, anything.will climb up rock shelfs better than my grizzlly.could use maybe a kawi sized 750 V-twin motor.but the 700 single puts out good power.maybe some stiffer shoks.better stock tires was the 1st mod.if you do alot of hauling wood ,working the land ,slow trail riding, then the rhino would work best,or maybe a ranger XP but i have not drove one of those.if you just trail ride and nothing else i would say PO-Po RZR-S but wait till next year when polaris throws the 850 motor in there then get one | |

| I had a Rhino 450 was reliable the only problem was ball joints. Traded for a Teryx, has been great so far 1300 miles, only problem front upper a arm bushings. Not a Kawi fan but had to try one, so far I can't complain. I still think Yamaha is the best built. | |

| Bought a 2008 RZR in 2007 and sold it to some friends who wanted it this fall. Bought a 2010 RZRS. Wish they had this when I first bought. As far as haulling, we have some property and help at my brothers 1,125 acre farm a lot, so we have a 4'x4' trailer the we pull around when we haul. We are ready for the trails with the same machine that way. We also cleaned a bunch of snow off of driveways with the 2008 RZR. The plow system goes on in about 10 seconds or less. Have a lot friends who have Rhinos and love them. | |

| I have owned a 07 Rhino and now own a 09 Teryx. I have worked on and driven everything out there. If I was in the market to buy another one today, I would buy the rzrs if I wanted nothing but a fun fast trail machine. If I wanted a great trail and work machine it would be a toss up between the Teryx and the Ranger. There is no way in heck I would waste my money on another Rhino. The rhino doesnt have the power, the ride sucks, and if you ride more than an hour at a time the fit sucks. I seriously think one of the biggest moving up coming machines will be the ranger. Best thing for anyone that is going to buy a new machine is to find someone that owns one already and see if they will let you take it for a nice ride. Then talk to someone that works on them to find out how many they see for problems and how many they see for custom work. Then make your own decision | |

| I would have to say the Rhino is underpowered, but still overall it is a FINE machine. Everyone has their opinion. If speed and power is not your number one concern, but overall quality and durability......you can't beat the Rhino. I agree with Gunny......nothing I have ridden in compares to the S for strictly trail riding. It is definitely a bad Po-Po Mo-Fo. | |
