Colorado - 850,000 MORE Acres of "Wilderness"

"A bill introduced by Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., on Friday aims to expand a small wilderness area along the North Platte River just west of Larimer County.

The Colorado Wilderness Act of 2009 would designate 850,000 acres of new wilderness in Colorado, mostly on federal Bureau of Land Management land on the Western Slope.

If the bill passes, the public land will be protected from development but would require bicyclists and motorized vehicles to keep out."
