| I was thinking either 25 or 26 in.........hoping the 26in doesnt eat up to much of my power on the little fo fiddy. The two choices are: TerraCross or BigHorns Which one would be the better tire? Which one would do better at say Windrock.....Wilburns....that'll be the type terrain I'm on 99% of the time besides the road getting there! LOL!. I want everyones opinion. THanks in advance.....cuz I'm stuck between which two to get. I REALLYYYYYYYY like r6realtors set up....I like how they have that low profile(terracross)......however I like the bighorns as well. But which is better? | |

| Those both should be good tires but I have only run the Maxxis BigHorns. Go ahead an get 26" ones its not a huge step up an will help out allittle.
Bighorns hold up the best in the rocks an over the course of lots of miles. |

| The bighorns dont run a whole size bigger but they do run more true to correct size than others, most 26" tires will only be 25.5 but a 26" bighorn runs 26.5 (and this is from the maxxis site) So now your factory 25s are really about 24.5 you can measure but ive checked many brands and they all tend to run small. So if you go to a 25 bighorn you will get some extra ground clearance but very little power loss, but if you go 26 you will impact your power. As for the two tires you named, the bighorns are tuffer and work better IMO. I just put them on my prowler because I didnt like the terracross my friend has on his. | |

| I like the look of the Terracross' better... but, when it comes down to it... everyone and their mom have the bighorns and swear by them, so that's what i'll end up getting.
not that this helps... |

not that this helps... considering the source......I think I'll have to think about this for a bit! Seriously though, I love how the Terracross looks...and I love the flat look, just seems like it would be more stable. But as you said.....the bighorns are tried and true and you can't go wrong with them!

| I know you didn't ask about any other tire but, If I had it to do over, I would have done the Kenda Bear Claws, I had them on my PoPo 500 and on the rear of my Scrambler 500, they were AWESOME, I rode them HARD for over three years (close to 5000 miles) and they still had fantastic traction when I sold it! As soon as these Mudlites wear out, I am going to put them on my Rhino!!!!!!! | |

| Since you have 12 inchers I can tell you the best trail and mud tire is the 589, these go anywhere and are long wearing, also have the rim guard to keep your rims from getting bent on the edges by rocks. They dont make them in 14" or I would have put them on my prowler | |

- From what I've read in a lot of different places, The Terracross's have a very poor sidewall design and are prone to pinches and cuts.
This was true, however, ITP has supposedly redone the terra cross with a stiffer side wall and a new mold, this is what I was told by Mike at Dicksatv.com just before I purchased mine. I have two sets and they have been really good, never once had a tear/slice or puncture, and they drive excellent smoothest tires I have ever owned seem to be a great all around tire. Just my opinion though I have been very pleased so far. Jason

How do you like the swamp lites. When I get mine its between the Swamper swamp lites or the ITP 589's.

| I have Bighorns and love them. WVYankee has the Duro Power Grips. The Duro's actually scored higher in testing than the Bighorns did. I ride with a few people who have the Duro's and love them. They are a very good tire. you can get them for around $280 a set as well. 25 inch BH's are $350. If you want t tire like that and want to save money go with the Duro's you will love them. Rocky Moutian ATV is the cheapest place to get them. |
