| nocerisdave I built the frame out of 1/4 in round steel ( I think it was 1/4 in its a little bigger than a pencil) and I think it is 1/8 sheet metal for the skin. I found a metal company called metal works in McDonough and they were a big help getting me the metal I needed and suggestions on how to make them. The hinges I picked up a Lowes and the handles where off the quarter doors that yamaha installed. I also cut the mounting points off the yamaha doors and reused them. for the first attempt I think they turned out ok. I know I need to work on my metal working skills but Im happy with them. | |

| Had a weekend wrenching session ... pics to follow. Added: Simpson D3 4 point harnesses, wiring for the ViperMax 4000 winch (waiting on my EMP bumper), rear view mirror, winch mount above to front diff (to tie the frame together), Camlock parking brake, and some mudflaps (but there are more to be added). I am trying to get ready for the April 10 ride at Brimstone .... | |
