| I check mine today and goodness it was nasty $6 from dealer ...im sure u can tell which is new and which is old p.s. ill look up my hours and miles and psot later...also the filter is located behind the passenger seat just in front of the bed but all u have to do is take tha passenger seat off and u can then change it | |

| 600 miles on mine, and still looks good. Keep a spare in my glovebox just in case after reading about the silicon in the tank problem. | |

| think there has been several cases in which the plastic shavings created from the manufacturer cutting the holes in the fuel tanks for the sending units ending up in the fuel filter and in some cases completely clogging it somebody wasn't doing there job. | |

This is a pic of the silicone sealant that is under the Rhino fuel pickup tube. Click on pics to make larger. This is a pic of some silicone sealant off top of Fuel Tank. You can see how deteriorated it is. Pieces of this were finding their way into the fuel filters and clogging them. I don't know when or if ever, that Yamaha has addressed this problem. | |
