| OK - as I hav said before I am reworkign my intake.... does anyone have this? If so, or if oyu know firsthand anythign about - please post! http://www.afefilters.com/productreviews/78-10012YamahaRhino04-07/78-10012YamahaRhino04-07.phpI am considering it....but not real intense... (again if I find a screaming deal on ebay I might pick one up) oh, and I would probably try to use my uni foam filter for the main rather than the one they show... just not big on paper fitlers. | |

| i have the AFE intake for the 08 700 and am very satisfied with it. Very good quality. I would definitely get another one. I really like that auto accessory manufacturers are looking at atvs/utvs for performance parts and accessories also. | |

| how do you feel about the paper filters....
that was a concern of mine and I may just get by by putting my uni foam filter on as the main.
did oyu notice a difference when you installed it?
did you rejet yourself? or did you dyno and rejet? (never mind - you have an 08 efi - sorry)
most important - is the engine getting enough air?

| Does the 700FI have a crappy stock filter like the King Quad has? I definitely want to get something on order if that is the case. I have read horror stories on NYROC about guys having smoking motors at 300mi because the filter let dirt down into the intake. | |

Don't know about the 700, but my 660 had a pretty good quality 2 stage foam filter, that except for the color looked almost identical to the UNI I replaced it with.

most important - is the engine getting enough air? RC, it's getting plenty of air yet and the paper filter is very durable and i think it will hold up well. I think i noticed a small amount in the low end...it's tough to really tell....once you get something like this, it kind of just gets in your head that u have more power...haha :D

| The main benefit to this AFE system is the removal of the intake restriction to the airbox, not the filter. This is what the RAIS tube does, although not as much as this AFE. I bet Shawn can rig something up in his garage to do this. I do like the prefilter they have also. Keeps the main filter clean from large particles and is easily cleaned in about 30 seconds. you can clean that several times on a ride without hassle. If you could figure out how to make an adapter from the air inlet to the stock filter box that was about 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. You could cut out the stock air inlet box with a dremel tool, and use a Honda Lawn mower paper filter as your pre filter. You could get this done for about $20.00 and have the same set up as the AFE. The key is making that adapter from the stock air inlet box to the stock air filter box. Get on it Shawn. I want one! | |

totally agree - and the prefilter idea is killer - especially if shawn could also make an intake scoop!!

| $418... WOW.... Definitely would need a rejet and I see it having issues similar to the RAIS tube. Rejet would need to look at all aspects and range of throttle. | |
