| Okay. First I want to say how awesome this site is. This site does for me what NYROC did for me when I bought my King Quad. Lots of guys on here have a wealth of information, and seem eager to share. I am just glad to be included.
SO, my question is this......
On a stereo installation, which wires are the hot, ground, etc? Does anyone have it documented, and maybe took pics along the way during the installation? Has anyone noticed a draw on their battery, or had a battery go dead because the stereo? I will be assisted in the installation by my father-in-law, who was a stero installation manager at Circuit City. I just want to make it professional and clean. The wires to the overhead speaker bars, how did some of you guys hide them? | |

| i hooked up the power up to my 12 volt accessory wire. that way it only comes on when my key is on. The only other wires that i had to hook up were the illumination(which needed constant power) and my ground, which i hooked directly to my battery. I have had no drainage problems at all. Works great. I drilled a hole in the top and bottom of my roll cage and ran the wires through the roll cage. it was a pain in the @ss, but it's nice and clean. | |

| Here are pics of mine: https://southernsxsriders.forumakers.com/how-to-section-f26/i-m-rockin-now-t817.htmI'm just running an Amp to a Ipod, so I wired hot direct to the battery thru a fuse, ground to frame of Rhino, and ran my remote off the Amp to a switch, and to my ACC plug hot wire. That way I can switch the power on/off the Amp. I mounted the toggle switch in my glovebox with the Amp. Have not used it enough to tell you about Battery draw, but from what I've been told by other's, my 240 watts should not be a problem. | |

| So my concern is finding the right wires, and where are they routed? I know on the King Quad, there are wires already run in the back for reverse lights, etc. But since I am new to the Rhino, I was hoping someone had a diagram or some pics of the wiring harness where they tapped into it. I have not really been in the Rhino and have toyed with it enough to know what is where. Obviously there are wires in the dash since the key is there and the digital display. Can you access the wires by crawling up under the dash? I definitely like the sounds of clean.....I hate crappy looking work. That is why I hope to have the Pops-in-law to advise me. Did you all use those wire-splicers or just strip the wire back and intertwine the wires and seal it back with liquid tape? | |
