| While getting ready to whine about the heat, a thought suddenly hit me. It isn't 115* here. I'm not having to wear a helmet, or a flak vest. Nor carry a rifle or 70 lb. pack. So far nobody has taken a shot at me today. And when I go to town in a bit, I'm bettin that my car won't be blown up by a road side bomb. Sort of made ashamed that I had forgotten for a few minutes. God Bless all of our fine young men and women the world over for protecting me and mine this fine day. May each an every one of them come home soon, safe and sound. | |
