Here is the link to the Google Earth version of my
North Cumberland Trails Map. This covers all three Units of the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area (Sundquist, Royal Blue, & New River), Brimstone, and Windrock.

Also, I have a GE version of Pickett Co., TN - Wayne Co., Ky trails.

That version is only formatted for Google Earth.

I sell a version formatted for mid and upper end Garmins that use this same data.

The links are in the first post...

What GPS are you planning to get?

The GPS version may be obtained using my Order Form.

Ok, I got my nuvi 500 in yesterday and installed Dan's maps on it. Been playing around with it last night and today and have a questions for you guys that use it. How or can I show POI on the map full time? I see I can go to the Menus and find one particular spot, but I was hoping to look at the map and see 10 points around me and decide where to go from there.

I know that with my other gps I saved waypoints and labeled them so I knew where they were and it was on the map screen. I hope I explained what I'm trying to do ok.

I haven't gotten around to officially updating the GPS version yet. However, when a new GPS version is purchased, it is generally less than a month or so old. IIRC, you have the latest one out... same as I have.

I have updated the GPS version and emailed notifications to my clients. There were a couple that bounced. If anyone didn't get their notification, please PM me and I will try to get you updated.

Dan, I have a 60Cx Garmin, and I was going to get your maps. But was wondering how big of a memory card would you reccomend to get for it to have all of your maps on it.

I believe I currently have a 256mb one, with Tommy's old maps from 2007, and it fills the card up.

Corey, what is the world have you been storing to use that much memory? I've got everything I have recorded on my 256MB card since April 09 and I've only used about 12% of my card. I don't record every ride... I only record new/update tracks.

Tha map only consumes about 16MB.

I have no idea, but it shows the card to be 99% full?? But there is no other media on the card. I have no clue...

Dan, this is great stuff. Thank you very much. One quick question, is there a legend for the colors of the trails? I was really looking for something to let me know what I should be prepared for. I am also looking at GPS units and it looks like most folks recommend the Nuvi 500. Do you recommend the 500 or is something else better to work with your maps? Thanks again

The 500 works great. I have several maps installed on the 1450 & 1490s. these have 5" screens... huge... if you need that. If you need waterproof, the 500 and all the On the Trail units (except eTrex non "x" models) work great.
