| Where is everybody mounting there 1/4 wave antennas for best reception? Im mounting it on a rzr. | |

| How does the antenna get a good ground being mounted to the plastic roof like that gimpy? | |

| Look close at the yellow plastic over the round connector. It is bolted to the mount with stainless steel screws and then the wire is fed down to a ground bolt behind the drivers seat. On the radio I have, you have to also ground the mic holder bracket, in order to be able to set the radio to scan. | |

| mine is just zip tied to the roll cage in the same spot gimpy's is and it works great. | |

| ive got some lights mounted on the backside of my top i wonder if they would interefere with the antenna in any way | |

| I mounted mine in rear of the roof with metal duct tape underneath for a ground plane. These antennas don't need to be grounded, the ground plane is used for better reception and to stabilize the swr. | |
