Subject: 2012 rzr 800 overheating ! Sun Feb 03, 2013 11:34 pm
I was out playing in the snow today and my rzr began to overheat, I noticed water leaking out the weep hole on the water pump . Do I need a pump ? Ive never messed with the coolant system on a rzr so I'm in the dark. Help!

You probably just need a new seal. Coolant leaks out gets low air gets in the system and you overheat. Its a very common problem. I had to change mine out on my 800 with only about 1800 miles on it.. Mud and water gets in that weep hole and eats the seal up.. Its not to hard to change.. The service manual says something crazy like you have to pull the motor.. All you do is remove the cover work the seal out from the front and then drive the new one in.

I think it is the seal , but mine only has about 300 miles on it kinda odd it went out that soon . The dealer said today it is most likely the seal . How hard is it to change ? I didn't think I would have to pull the motor , I was just going to take the pas wheel off and then take the cover off .any special tools needed ?
