| Well Guys this is the dumbest thing ive ever heard of but if you ever intend to go to Brimstone Recreation area you need to know this and decide if you want to spend your money with them.
BIG NEWS!! that we were just made aware of is that if you are not staying at one of the ''approved'' places listed YOU ARE NOT WELCOME AT BRIMSTONE! THEY WILL NOT SELL YOU A PASS TO RIDE! This appears to be an attempt to put trailsend campground out of business. I just talked to Ronnie (bigr) and chris about our conjoined Spring Ride in March and I called and talked to a person at brimstone and she confirmed if you are staying at trailsend you will not be allowed to ride on brimestone property. I tried to talk to them about this being a illegal action as a business selling to the public cannot discriminate in such a way and if they held to this that we would have no choice but to relocate our conjoined Spring ride of the Southern SXS Riders and the Southern RZR Riders ride to windrock and spread the word to the sxs world that riders not going along with their new plan are not welcome!!!! She is going to get back in touch by Friday with a answer, hopefully they realize this is a very flawed plan and end it. I will keep you posted if and when i hear back. Please don't cancel any of you brimestone or UNAPPROVED reservations till i hear back. Hopefully we can still have our ride at brimestone if not we can spend our money with a place that does welcomes us and the huge amount of revenue our combined clubs bring to these ride areas yearly.
Here is there press release stating the approved places you can stay, anywhere else will bar you from being able to ride on Brimstone property. From Brimstone: Access to Brimstone trails and facilities will be limited to those overnight Brimstone Resort Passholders staying only at the following Brimstone Resort sponsored facilities:
Brimstone Retreats, Grand Vista Hotel
Comfort Inn, Big South Fork Cabin Rentals
Wilderness Retreats,Cornerstone
Longhorn Ranch Cabin Rental, Oneida Guest House
Unique Mountain Getaways Elk Run Cabins

| Maybe we should sue them, some of us already bought annual passes
They do not have enough facilities to handle the crowds.
Just got off the phone with them - they have a new campground (under construction) - where all that new concrete steep ass ramp before you get to the concrete bridge.
Good luck making a 180 to the left down a steep grade in a 40' rv or pulling a big toyhauler.

| Please call them / post on their facebook page until they change this dumb policy.
No refunds if you already bought a pass, if you already have a spot for White Knckle etc at Trails End you are screwed unless they change their policy.

sounds like a stupid move to me. I went to BS several years back and didn't think it was all that great anyway. With the other places to ride they are only going to loose business big time, plus they are probably still mad about RB taking over some of their land a couple years ago.

| This sounds like a Law Suit looking for a place to happen. This is blatant Discrimination. I never stay at any camp ground, theirs or anyone elses, does this mean I can no longer ride there?
BRimstone is cutting their nose off inspite of their face!

| Simple way to screw the bunny here........Trails end goes to town and rents the cheapest room possible asks for as many keys as they will give per room then give the key to whomever rents a spot from them | |

| Easy way for them to temporarily solve this problem is for them to make Trailsend an approved place to stay. But i agree somewhere down the line a smart attorney might start a class action lawsuit for discrimination and they will pay thru the nose in legal fees whether they win it or not. | |

| The more I think about it the more it sounds like extortion, you have to stay at their "approved lodging" my guess there are fees for parking passes being charged at the hotels or non Brimstone properties.
I will leave it to Gunny and Big R since they have the most pull, but seriously check out the comments on their Facebook page = priceless.
word has already spread to the mad clowns, so not just SXS people mad now

| I just talked to the Scott County chamber of commerce and advised them of this, they were not pleased at all. Trailsend campground is a member of theirs. I had her look up brimestones new rules and as she read them she immediately said she was going to call the head of the chamber and let him know. If you want to let them know as well here is a link. http://scottcountychamber.com/contact | |

Jeff Bilbrey
I posted the following on brimestones fb page, they are trying to run trails end campground out of business and will not let you ride unless you stay at one of their approved sites(childish). I'm sorry to inform you that I will not be doing business with you anymore because of your new stupid rules "All Brimstone Resort Passholders must be parked at “Riverside at the Vanderpools” parking area with their resort parking pass installed on rear view mirror or reside at one of the Brimstone sponsored facilities per " I have been a loyal customer for the past 4 years by buying the annual permit, but if I have to stay in one of your approved sites I will not be able to ride. So I guess I will take my business elsewhere, and anyone else that will join me. Jeff Bilbrey
It didn't take but a few minutes for them to remove it!!!!!!!

http://scottcountychamber.com/contact I emailed the chamber. It won't do much good to place anything on their Facebook page. I'm sure they would just delete it really quick.
