| Hey guys, I know the March ride is for Orange Members but I would be more than willing to go and spend money on the Tenn pass and support Trails End to show a group number. That is the only place I have stayed on my multiple trips down there. RZRs been down for winter fab/cage work but can get it put back together pretty quickly if you don't mind another one in the group. Taking my Jeep back down for a weekend of rock beating at Windrock in early April so I already plan to buy that pass so asking for a refund on my BS pass won't hurt my feelings. | |

Reeko, this is not an Orange ride. Feel free and come along.

By my count if all those people were going to buy yearly passes, brimstone just lost almost 15,000 dollars on passes in a day. Thats not even talking about if those people were going to go to White knuckle or SxS even.. We need to keep it up.. Share it with your friends..

Most likely the people that respond and spend a lot of time on forums, will influance at least 3 more people if not a whole group where to go ride, so that number of 15,000 could have a multiplier added from anywhere of 3 to 10. The ill will this has created will be more difficult to measure.

| I'm away from the board for a few days and geez.....
I don't have a dog in this hunt as we always stay at Brimstone cabins. Brimstone is our favorite desitenation by far. The trails are awesome, the cabins are super nice, and Erica and her family have been good to us every visit. For the last several years we have made Brimstone our family vacation for the July 4th week. We also make several more extended stays throught the year. We bring a herd of folks and vehicles every trip. So to say we spend a LOT of money there is an understatement.
However, having said the above, we will not be dictated to as where we can or can not stay. Brimstone's "approved" list means these are companies willing to give them kickbacks. Personally, I do business the old fashion way and my word is my contract. Right is right and wrong is wrong, it's as simple as that. Word of mouth can make or break a company. However, at this point I will reserve jusgement as we don't know all the facts that went into this decision.

Reeko, this is not an Orange ride. Feel free and come along. Good deal. Maybe I can get you the $20 bucks on that ride then for Orange. Once you guys post up the details I will put it on my calendar. I saw two different options for the pass. Hunting and Riding? Looks like most are going with the out of state hunting permit as it is cheaper. Is this correct?

| I was in the shower this morning thinking about this situation. Without knowing all the details in this case it is impossible to make a fair judgement. However, with what we do know it sounds an awful lot like extortion to me (Brimstome Mafia?). And the riders are getting caught up in the middle of it. It is also apparent that Brimstone has hired legal counsel already, it would be in Trails End's best interest to do the same if they haven't already. I am no attorney but I believe it may be possible to file some type of temporary injunction before this policy is fully implemented. Is this something that we can file a complaint with the authorities (Tennessee State Police) so they can start an investigation? | |

| The problem is Brimestone is private property.. I've heard its not all owned by brimstone. But regardless its private property. As far as I know you can keep anyone off your property for any reason you want. Now with a business I'm guessing there might be a little different rules. I'm pretty sure you can't post up saying no fat people or coloreds, ect.. I'm guessing the whole "Resort" bullchit they are spouting is to counter this.. They are claiming they are a private resort. The resort thing I'm sure legally is what gets them out of saying you have to stay here or there to be allowed to play.. My guess is they got legal advise before they ever posted this.. My problem is to me they WAY over stepped their bounds.. If you want trails end campers, Offer them a better deal, better service, ect ect.. Don't try to force them to choice you over them.. Win their business. Regardless of how you feel about brimestone anyone that is ok with this kind of practice is a little off IMHO.. | |

| Brimstone Recreation has approx 23000 acres leased from Lime Lumber. Lime Lumber purchased the property, approx 60000 acres, a few years ago as part on the North Cumberland Conservation Plan. The State of TN is a player, The Nature Conservancy is another, along with Lime Lumber. The State put up several million, The Nature Conservancy another few million, and Lime Lumber another several million. Lime Lumber got property title to the Brimstone property. The Nature Conservancy got title to approximately 8000 acres on the Emory River. TWRA has recreation oversight of all. Lime Lumber will have all timber rights to all its holdings and all of the NCWMA when the current timber contracts expire. The New River Unit of the WMA is the remainder portion, ~27000 acres, of the Lime Lumber property that is not leased to Brimstone Recreation. Should Brimstone Recreation give up it's lease, the recreation rights to that property belong to TWRA.
In the vicinity of River Road, apparently the owner of Trails End owns portions of trails 5, 3, 98, and 120 along River Road. I understand there are access issues presently under litigation.
Campgrounds are in competition with each other. Brimstone Recreation obviously wants the business... and Trails End has the best location and access to the Lime Lumber property.

| I have been thinking about this since the . Trying to quantify this in some business logic. I finally figured it out. When dealing with a redneck, there are three things one should never mess with.: Where they eat, Where they sleep, and Where they screw. Brimstone Corp has interferred with at least the second one. IMO. | |

| Bottom line is there is some kind of pissing contest going on. For how long and why, not really sure.
Brimstone raised the bar by making it personal with a lot of riders saying if you stay at trails end campground then you don't ride on our RESORT.
So they brought it on themselves and it sounds like they don't care by turning off FB posts and I believe they are giving refunds to permit holders. That right there say to me they don't care and this will not hurt them enough to make a difference.

| I think everyone that can should show up there next weekend for trails end guided ride. The more trucks and trailers parked at trails end the better. I think all you guys will like the twra trails as good as brimstone if not better. | |

| I'm for it.. I've been wanting to ride those trails anyway. I really think it would help trails end and maybe even show brimstone a big fat FU to see all those people still campting there..Trails End sales the TWRA permits correct? Also what is the price.. I've heard a couple different things.. I know its per machine so even if it is the 190 I heard its only 30 more then brimestone and if I carry a 3rd person even just one weekend its cheaper.. | |
