PostSubject: Sand mines!!!???   Sand mines!!!??? EmptySun May 26, 2013 9:56 pm

We tried to navigate are way up there this weekend at the full throttle event but there was a tree down about 15 minutes from being there. We weren't sure if twra had cut it down or it had just fell. Anyone got any info and I would love to see this if someone knew another way or wanted to go

Which way where you going to the sandmines? The back side starts off old hwy 63 in red ash, go off the road thru the creek then up on the trail. That's the rougher side. The front side has a couple different way. You can come in off hwy 63 or go past the main twra station on the gravel and theres a short cut trail to lead to the gravel road to go up the front side. The front is the way I always go up, it's not as bad but some good moderate rock climbing. Last time I tried the shortcut trail there was a water hole a little too deep for my liking, if we can still go thru there I want to take a shovel and creat a drain. It was up to my butt in the rzr and I wasn'to the deepest part.

If I can figure out where you were I could check it next time I'm on the west side.
