| Okay I have a question to pose to everyone out there in SxS land. I am in the market for a new 4 seater. The decision is between the new high lifter 4 seater and the new turbo 4 seater. The question I have is do we really need a turbo here on the east coast. I know if I lived in the dunes it would be a turbo no doubt. The high lifter comes with a lot of accessories already on it which would save me a lot as well as costing less than the turbo. Would the turbo be worth the extra cash?
Next question goes out to all the guys who have a high lifter edition. What do you think of them? Do they have a lower gear ratio and what about the suspension?
Thanks for any input | |

| I would say go for the HL edition. For east coast riding I think it's a clear winner.
Good luck with the sale of your Jagged!

| Thanks Jimbo but I am not interested in a utility version of a 4 seater. | |

| turbo is useless in the woods imo, easy to over heat too, I think you would be happier with the HL | |

| I have rode with a few turbos...never seen one over heat yet. If I was buying a new RZR it would most definitely be a turbo. The trans and clutch set up in the turbo is second to none. That coupled with the Shock package on the turbo make it an easy decision in my book. The shocks on the HL are sprung WAY to stiff. The Turbo has the best factory shock package I have ever seen. | |

| I'd say just do the turbo. Then add the gear set and chain from the HL and a set of portals. Oh almost forgot.....33" tires. All good right? Just my thought. | |

| I've only seen one person brake a reverse chain and they were playing in a mud pit. Is the reverse chain that big of a deal? | |

I'd trust this guys opinion as he rides more than most of us combined!

| Turbo all day: Bigger front diff Bigger axles in front, don't remember about rear Gear driven reverse Monstrous, plush shocks Much improved clutches Triple piston front/dual piston rear brakes with larger rotors. I'm sure there is more that I'm omitting but the upgrades alone make the turbo better than the 1K, IMO. | |

My bad I had forgot about hearing it had all the beefed up parts, and if the factory turbo doesn't overheat like most all the after market ones and it doesn't lag then it would be a good choice if you feel you really like it cause it is more money. I'm old school, the turbos ive been around were worthless in anything but top speed, they had a lot of lag time which in a tight rough area could be disastrous. I'm not qualified to opine much, these guys who have ridden with or in one is who to listen too although before buying I would have to drive one myself.

| Thanks gunny. It looks like I am leaning toward the high lifter edition. I like the idea of lower gear ratio | |

| I don't know man, but I have never been excited about any of the newer four seat models. They just look loooooooooooong. I know that the guys that have them really like them but I'm very content with what I have. Are you looking to get a new buggy because your JX is accumulating miles? Because in my book the new ones aren't really upgrades. Now I won't argue that Polaris hasn't made improvements with the new ones but the JX to me seems purpose built for the type of terrain that we ride. And as long as your buggy is in good shape I don't know that I would want a new one. | |

| I can tell from personal experience the springs are very stiff at first on the HL but they are starting to soften up too,and the lower gearing make good for larger tires with out loosing low end power | |
