PostSubject: fuel tank   fuel tank EmptyMon Mar 09, 2009 11:46 pm

I remember reading that chunks of silicone from around the fuel pump falls into the tanks and gets into the fuel line, well I think this may have happened to me and causeing my rhino to act up anybody read anything on this and how to fix it completly??

I know I will have to clean out the tank, check the fuel lines, but i'm sure i'll have to figure out a way to re-seal around the pump??? any ideas/links will be helpful

That could be your problem. However, I don't own a 660 so I'll keep my mouth shut... shutup

I think what R is tring to say is stock SE shocks, and a new machined sheave will fix it.

I have had small crystal like things in my fuel filter......is that silicone?

Fuel filters are about $5 at the dealer, get several and carry them with you when riding. Swap it out when the Rhino starts backfiring and such. My 660 would usually get around 250 miles before that happened.

My fuel filter plugged off at 600 miles, just as we were getting on top of the mountain at Windrock Rolling Eyes . When I took it off the white stuff was floating in the filter. I removed the fuel line to the top of the tank and blew it out. Some came out of it too. I put the new filter on and the fuel line back, and have not had a problem since. I have 1400 miles on now. Just changed my fuel filter again, because I thought it was probably due.

We had one do the same thing this weekend on a big hillclimb. It was an 07 660. Clayboy just happened to have a spare fuel filter and he was back up and running in no time. I am sure you will get it whipped into shape Shawn.
