PostSubject: Deep water problem   Deep water problem EmptySun Feb 17, 2008 7:56 pm

With my in take and belt snorkeled my rhino is still dying in deep water. Its not the fan that was taken off. I believe it has something to do with the exhaust back pressure. When I go real deep, water in the bed, The motor looses power coming out of the hole. I give it some gas and it clears up and runs fine. It feels like its getting swamped out but as soon as I get out of the water and give it some gas it clears up and is fine. scratch anyone have this problem or should I snorkel the exhaust to.

Backpressure on your exhaust will kill your power.

makes sense...but why wouldnt the exhaust have enough positive pressure under water to overcome this?

Maybe being stock its not enough pressure to keep it out of the pipe.

Remember guys. Your motor is nothing more than an air pump. Air in and air out. Anytime you restrict the air in any way is going to reduce your motors performance. The deeper you go in the water, the more static pressure is created on your exhaust outlet.
