| Just thought I would share some info. Many probably already know this. I called my Yamaha dealer today to ask about the spacers. wanted to see if he could ship them to me. He is in Ohio about 130 miles from me. He told me that they have yet to recieve any information from Yamaha about this. They have been told they cannot sell any New or used Rhino's until this repair is made. He did say that I would have to bring it in to have it done, and they would have to verify that the sway bar is removed as well as the spacers installed. He said they have not been told how big the spacers are, or when the parts will be available. They are in Limbo with Rhino inventories they cannot sell. This is going on 2 Months now that no Rhino's have been sold from dealers. With a new model coming out this fall, this has got to be killing Yamaha. I will bet that you will get a great deal on a 09 toward the end of this year to clear things out. He also told me that it will be September before any information is released on the 2010 Rhino. Yamaha in my opinion has another issue that will need addressed. They are going to have to redesign the rear fenders or add flares to accomadate the new spacers. They will not be able to sell machines with tires sticking out to throw rocks and mud at people. Stayed tuned. this should get interesting before it's over. | |

| My first stop was at a Yamaha dealer to get a Rhino.....then I got the bad news about being on hold. I then went two miles down the road and picked up a Teryx.....wonder how many more are doing that ? | |

| Marty,
I just talked to my dealer here in Louisville. He said the same thing. He has no information on when this will be over and his heard nothing form Yamaha. However, he does have a 700 and a 450 that he can sale. Moreover, he said that Yamaha will have to give BIG rebates on the 09's to move inventory.
Competition is the other problem Yamaha is facing. They have had the number one selling machine on the market. Therefore, they have ignored there competitor's designs. Now you see a lot of RZRs on the trails. People want that power even if it is a Po Po. Yamaha is going to have to step up the power plant or they will lose their hold on the market.

I know thats right ! Aftermarket is NOWHERE as good for the Teryx as it is for the Rhinos ! There has been something I always loved about that V-twin sound too though....so I wasnt that heart broken.....but still !
