Windrock 2009 member ride

looks like you had a blast, some of the best pics i have seen. had a good time friday morning and want to thank Big R for pulling me off the honda and strapping me in the co pilots seat of his ride. It was great to meet blu knight and his folks, vince and his wife and finally meet Lts wife. Almost hate it i had to bail ad leave for other places looking forward to meeting up with the rest of you guys at the next rondezvous, you know what i mean

Please reassure me, before I try Windrock, that those trails I'm seeing weren't classified as "moderate"...

I'm not sure I'd want to be in some of those places without a riding partner to help spot or help me get out...

Some were "moderate red trails". There are a few that say moderate but are not.

If you are still planning one riding there I will give you some moderate trails to ride.

Yes, since Windrock is closer than Brimstone, and following you alls suggestions, it looks like Windrock is it...

I don't want to get in over my head on real technical stuff, but at the same time, I don't want to just ride dusty gravel roads...

So he really stuck his middle fingers up huh?

Kent, you will have no problems at Windrock. But if you are going to ride alone, make sure you have tire plugs, a pump, a map, and just pay attention to the trail markers. It is a good place to ride. I just like Brimstone a little better.

When did you say you were looking to ride if it is through the week and you decide to ride picket let me know and I will try to plan on riding.

It'll be during the week, of the last week of June. My annual family is Saturday the 27th. I'll drive down the previous weekend, and start my drive back on the evening of the 27th. It's 900 miles one way...

Right now, I'm planning on riding Windrock, since I'm only about an hour away, in the edge of Sevier County, over the Knox County line. From there, I can easily hit Alcoa Highway, then the Pellisippi Parkway straight over...
