- From the video on the Kawasaki web-site, then said the frame was narrower to give longer a-arms for more wheel travel. However, if you read the specs the wheel travel looks the same as the 09's.
If they really added wheel travel I would like to test drive the Teryx at Brimstone. Then I would have a better opinion. I am disappointed in Yamaha and the lack of power. the narrow frame long a-arm spill has been a selling point they have used since the 08 came out, they havent changed anything major like that according to the "new features" for 2010 they listed. Well that's crap! In the video they make it sound like that was a new feature. That answers my question. I would buy a new Rhino. Even with less power. Here is the 2008 ad.; 2008 KAWASAKI TERYX 750 4x4 / TERYX 750 4x4 LE Putting the V in RSV with V-twin power and Versatility Press release and photos courtesy of Kawasaki June 2007 The recreational sport vehicle world will never be the same again. A new breed has evolved with a mix of working UTV traits and sportier ATV genes — the Kawasaki Teryx 750 4x4. This new full-sized RSV is the first to have V-twin power and combines its Kawasaki heritage of efficient CVT and integrated occupant protection with superior ground clearance, cargo capacity, and sport handling to become the top performing RSV on the market. The Teryx 750 4x4 is all about recreation, yet it retains enough of its working heritage to offer amazing versatility and handy features for tackling everyday tasks. At the core of the Teryx 750 4x4 is its strong and proven 749cc 90-degree V-twin engine, the same engine that gives the Brute Force 750 4x4 its distinguished high performance. The mid-chassis mounted engine gives the Teryx 750 4x4 a displacement and V-twin torque advantage over its contemporaries and delivers the performance that RSV customers have been seeking. Mated to the engine is Kawasaki’s superb constant velocity automatic transmission (CVT), which transfers the power from the big V-twin to the wheels smoothly and quickly. The output of the duo provides a true sport performance, yet in a controlled manner that allows the driver to harness the full potential of the Teryx 750 4x4. Kawasaki TeryxNaturally, big power demands a chassis to compliment it and once again the Teryx delivers with an ideal width body – narrow enough to be useful and able to navigate the trail but wide enough to be stable and handle the healthy output from the V-twin. Its large-diameter, thin-walled tubular frame offers the necessary rigidity without performance draining weight, and all in an arrangement spacious enough to fit two adults comfortably. The Teryx 750 4x4 shares the long A-arm and narrow frame concept of its sport brethren to give it the maximum travel while minimizing wheel camber change. Featuring adjustable Kayaba suspension with gas-charged shocks, the sport-performance focused suspension of the Teryx 750 4x4 is designed to remain controlled even at top speed.
When the terrain requires it, the driver can activate 4WD with a simple servo-control switch. Further traction management is achieved via an ATV-style front differential control activated with a hand lever that functions like a rear hand brake and lets the driver select how much the wheels are locked together. The rear wheels stay locked and always turn together — much like a sport ATV — allowing the Teryx to slide around corners easier in a drift style.

| New info on the 2010/2011 Rhino. December 29, 2009 2010 Rhino Delivery Delay & Model Year Change Dear Yamaha SxS Dealer, 2010 SxS Jan-Jun Order Program (X10M01) Response to the recent SxS wholesale ordering program for the 2010 Rhino 700FI was very strong. Unfortunately, due to production adjustments required by our manufacturing facility, delivery of this model will be delayed until July/August 2010. Due to this production delay, we will change the model year on this model from 2010 to 2011. Therefore, your dealership’s order for 2010 Rhino 700FI units will be automatically substituted to 2011 Rhino 700FI and will be scheduled based on the updated availability. Confirmation letters will reflect the new 2011 model codes. If you do not wish to accept this model substitution, you can cancel at no charge by contacting the Motorsports Order Desk by Friday, January 15, 2010. New: 2011 Rhino 700FI Public Introduction Date The official public introduction date for the 2011 Rhino 700FI has been changed from January 1, 2010 to February 2, 2010. Until this date, please do not publicly communicate any 2011 Rhino 700 model information. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Sincerely, Mike Martinez ATV/SxS Operations Motorsports Group Company -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seems like the Yamaha folks are in complete disarray. There is many different ways to speculate on this announcement. My first guess would be that they have so many 09's left that they cant sell that they are dogging off production until they are gone. Many dealers seem to have real low inventorys though, unless the dealers just have not been ordering them in anticipation of the 2010 models. Question is why didn't Yamaha know this in early december when they announced to dealers that the 2010's would be out on Jan. 1st? Very strange stuff here. I'd say they are going to spring out a surprise new model, or just get out of the SidexSide business completely. | |

| Sounds like they are sitting on a huge number of crated 09s, because dealers didn't want to get stuck with them when the 10s came out a few months later. Now dealers will have to order them or do without, its just a money thing. I bet you see the high volume dealers get very aggressive in moving these left overs. Be a good time to get a deal if you want one. | |

| Yeah Gunny, I would say you are right. Over the next few months you will be able to get a great deal on a rhino.
In return, the price for a used Rhino are going to drop along with lots of after market parts.
I think Polaris stepped up to Yamaha and Knocked them the F__K down. They did not sneak up behind them. Customers have said over and over, more power... more power .....more power.
I am glad someone is listening. Just hate it was Polaris......

I am glad someone is listening. Just hate it was Polaris...... It wasnt just polaris, Kawasaki and Arctic Cat tried it too but theirs just didnt get very much of the peoples interest. Im glad it was Polaris, an American owned company. Remember they have been putting twin engines in rangers for the past 5 years. Give the people what they want and your product will be No.1

| Interesting post from RhinoForums today.
" I talked to my dealer today and he is sold out of rhino's. The 2010's he ordered are of course going to be 2011's. He cannot order any 09's from yamaha. Therefore he found 5 rhino's another dealer will let go. That other dealer is 500 miles away. So unless he can find more thats the only machines he will have to sell until the 11's hit the floor. So all that b.s. about yami stuck with a bunch of 09's can't be true, or they would gladly sell them to a dealer! "
If Yamaha does not have any 09's left. Why are they waiting until August to release a 2011 model and not releasing the 2010 model they introduced to dealers a month ago?????? The endless speculation continues...........

| Yamaha/Polaris of Louisville has about three Rhinos and I think two of them are 450's. Now they have about ten RZR and six Rangers. | |

I think it would be safe to say that most parts on all these machines are made in China or indochina. Thats why putting the ability to recieve service after the sale aside, we should not be making too much fun of the off brand Chino buggys.
