| I was in the woods this morning and my temp light come on.My rhino has never run hot.I let it cool off and run it again until it heated up.The fan never kicked on,so maybe that,s the problem. The oil cooler seemed to be hotter than the radiator.Guess I,ll take it back to the dealer,it,s still under warranty. It sucks that it,s acting up right here at hunting season. | |

| Have you been through any mud I live in louisiana to and had to relocate the radiator to keep it from over heating, although I play in a little mud haha. I would pressure wash mine after every ride and when I pulled the radiator out it was full of mud the fan shroud would just keep it from blowing through. good luck hope you get it worked out | |

| well from your name im guessing you might like the mud. like said above, im betting you radiator is full. i recently finished up my relocate to the back of the cage. i always sprayed mine to clean it out but its still not good enough. once i removed the radiator it took me three days to get all baked in mud out of those fins. now its up high and never sees the mud. let me know if you want to see any pics | |

If the sides of the radiator are not very hot to the touch, you may not be getting circulation and are vapor locked. Need to burp the cooling system.

| My cooling fan went out a couple months ago and it did the same thing. you can run a strait wire to the fan if you like to know if that is it. Yamaha replaced mine under warrenty. | |

| When mine overheated to spit out quite a bit of water, when I got it home I gutted the thermostat because it was a pain to burp out the air. I also installed a temp gauge, manual fan overide switch and relocated the radiator. I have not had any problems since it gets up to operating temp quickly and the fan comes on at 200 when the computer tells it to. I went ridin at red creek last weekend and the rhino was absolutly covered but it never got over 200 and the temp never got above 200, this is by far the best mod I have done to the rhino. | |

| That,s what I love about this web site, plenty of experience..I do go in the mud a lot,and I try to take care of my rhino. My radiator looks pretty clean, although I could probably take it out and find out that it,s not. i,ve got it loaded on the trailer, taking it back to the dealer today,as I said it,s still under factory warranty, but all of you give me some very good advice, and I would like to see some pics of where you relocated your radiator to.That,s the best solution to the mud problem | |

| You done a very good job on that .Was it hard getting all the air out of the cooling system. With the amount of mud that I travel through,I plan to relocate mine to the same spot. When you put that shourd on share it with us.I,m praying to get my rhino back from the dealer today.Been wheeling in the woods on the tractor all week, beats walking though. | |

| pretty easy to do. almost everything needed i got at lowes. just some flat bar steel, heater hose, and longer wires for the fan. it easy to get a the air out with the radiator being that much higher than the motor now. | |

| nope, just left it up there by its lonesome self. it never had a fan to cool it before so i wasnt adding one. i think the radiator does majority of the cooling. | |

i think the radiator does majority of the cooling. I believe The reason the oil cooler is so close in front of the radiator, is so the cooling fan will pull air through it when sitting still. The oil may run hotter with out the fan I would look at relocating it or adding a second fan.
