| Just got an email from Todd. There have been others with the same issue on the 425's rear HD shocks. He said that Progressive has a new heavier spring that they will replace my current springs with under warranty. Todd was checking with Progressive to see if the revised springs are available.
I'll add more info when available.

| I have several sets due in the first of this week. I will have to do some ride height test. | |

| I got the shocks in today and will see if I can get the BluegrassUTV.com research and devlopment team to check them out. We will take some before and after measurements and also get some "ride" test of our own. Hopefully I will have a report on them sometime this week. | |

| Talked to David Zemla at Progressive Suspension (Todd gave me his name and had already sent him my info). I've got to call him back in a week -- the Heavier Springs are on order from their manufacturer and he preferred to take my name and address once they have them in stock. David mentioned that the Progressive 425's Rear Heavy Duty is changing to a longer and more stout spring. They are aware of the issue and will replace the springs under warranty once they arrive from their vendor. They will basically ship the springs to me and I will replace (easy enough).
I went ahead and ordered a set of EPI HD Rear Springs as a backup. I figure I have a month before I have the Progressive rears to try with stronger/longer springs. I'm undecided on what I want to do with the EPI springs. Maybe just hold them to see if I like the revised Progessive's....

| Up-date on the Progressive 425s. After testing the standard set and the HD's we have determined that you will loose about 1" of ground clearence all the way around. For many riders this will be no big deal but for some this is un-exceptable. We are going to install a 2" lift and re-test ride comfort, performance and ground clearence. We love the ride you get with the 425's and hope to come up with a good solution for the ground clearence issue. | |

| I installed the 2" lift on the rear and gained 1 1/4". The 2" lifts rarely give 2" of lift.
I will not have my revised Progressive 425 HD springs until next week. I have a set of EPI HD springs that I will likely try on the rear Progressives later this week.

That would be the best solution for us if you could keep the same ride height and get the improved ride. :<peppers:

I received the revised Progressive HD Rear Springs and decided not to install them. They are alot shorter than the EPI springs. The revised springs are also still soft -- I can mash them a little bit by just pressing down on my driveway. The EPI HD I can't budge. The EPI's are 325/800 progressive rates. I do not know what the Progressive revised HD are but I am betting 250/???. The revised springs to my hand feel the same as the one's I just took off.

| Wow you lost an inch of travel with the 425s? I gained 3/4 on an inch on mine. My stockers were pretty bad off when I replaced em. I acualy have several stumps on my local trails that I can stradel without scrubbing, where I previously couldnt. I have noticed some body roll lately with my set. I have an order in for the upgrades. I hope that takes care of it. I will post when I know for sure. | |
