| ok i got a new 4500# winch and i need to mount it i have a 08 450 what is the best winch mount available i would like to put a 2" reciver on the front also because eventually i would like to mount the winch to a 2" reciver and be able to use it on the front or the rear so whic one do i need thanks ROB | |

| todd at hunterworks used to carry a mount plate to swap front to rear .i dont know if he can still get them .i used the yamaha 2 in front reciever and his setup that lets you swap . call Hunterworks and check if he can still get them .i love mine | |

| Also, you can get the Yamaha front receiver and winch mount. It is a nice one. You can check just about any where and get one. $60 to $70 bucks I think. It is the one I have. | |

| iv saw a couple diffrent mounts does the one that bolts to the front end do better than the one that u bolt clamps to the frame they all are about 60 dollars i just dont wanna pull on the frame cross member and bend it or pull on the front control arm mounts and pull the bolts throught the frame | |

or pull on the front control arm mounts and pull the bolts throught the frame I have to go look at mine. I can't remember how it works. It is the second winch mount that I have had. The first one would not work with a removable radiator guard. I know one used u bolts and the other mounted to the frame. Both of them where put to the test and worked fine with no problems. So I don't think it really matters. | |
