Kaibab National Forest Releases Travel Management EA for Williams Ranger District

Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

The Kaibab National Forest, located in central Arizona, has announced the release of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Williams Ranger District Travel Management Project. The Forest Service (FS) will be accepting comments on the EA during a 30-day comment period.

The FS will also be hosting two public meetings during the comment period to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the project and discuss it with Forest personnel in person. The first meeting will be held at the Williams Ranger Station on Wednesday February 24, 2010, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The second meeting will be held at the Williams Recreation Center, 301 W. Railroad Ave, Williams, AZ, on Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

The EA and other information are available for review at the Williams Ranger Station or on the Kaibab National Forest website at http://fs.usda.gov/goto/kaibab/projects.

COMMENT DEADLINE IS MARCH 9, 2010
