| You can get it at Summit and most Advance stores. Try to stay with 1-1/2 , anything bigger is hard to work with on these small headers/exhausts. | |

I don't know about best but I got a roll of 2''x15' for less than $20 from Napa. I wrapped the whole pipe from head to muffler on my prowler. Well worth the money even if it rusts my pipe out a little quicker.

| whichever, keep the pressure washer away from it. had it on a rzr header ,lasted about 6 months. Mud and water is hard on it, made it come apart. Long story short, it came off and the rzr caught fire on a ride at brimstone | |

I put a stainless clamp on mine about every 8 inches, also wrapped it very tight and overlapped. I've pressure washed it several times with no problems. The wrap is supposed to be fireproof, how did yours catch fire? Isn't the header exposed in the fenderwell on a rzr, probably why it didn't last long.

| Why would you run exhaust wrap?
Is anyone running exhaust wrap running a temp gauge? Most of these pipes are designed to let the heat out to keep operating temps down. If you pay attention after dark a lot of pipes will glow in the dark (even from the factory) it is because of the design of the header to release the heat instead of trapping it in the motor....

Everything I've read says the opposite, that header wrap helps lower head temps. I put mine on for the sound deadening mostly. And it seems to help the rear diff stay cooler.

Everything I've read says the opposite, that header wrap helps lower head temps. I put mine on for the sound deadening mostly. And it seems to help the rear diff stay cooler. On race cars header wrap is designed to lower under hood temps to allow cooler air to enter the carb by holding the heat in the header and flowing it out the exhaust. It will may cause the head to get slightly hotter (depending on the rest of the exhaust the more restrictive the higher the temps) but the trade off for a cooler intake air makes it worth while for more power. On the Rhino the pipe is in the rear away from the intake so I don't see it offering any performance gains just the higher temps at the cylinder, exhaust valve, and muffler. I have heard of people who live in a cold climate do this so the engine heats up faster. If you are running an after market exhaust this will also cause the packing to blow out faster because of the hotter temp in the muffler. On ATV's the pipes are designed to allow the heat to escape

| The Teryx needs it to help keep the heat away from the drivers leg. That front cylinder exhaust header gets the driver a little warm. | |

on an 08, you can swap out for the 09 plate next to the drivers right leg and it will drop the temps down.
