| Little Smith........14" eat up HP real fast and the side wall pinch is something to think about also. However, 14's do give ya more ground clearance!! Just | |

Just That is off just a little bit. 14'' wheels do not eat Hp. And 14'' wheels do not give you more ground clearance. If you take a 26 inch tire made for a 12 in rim the center or radius will be 13. if you take a 26 inch tire on a 14 inch rim the center or radius is still going to be 13. Your ride will not site any high just because you went with a 14 inch rim. Also a 26 tire on a 14'' time will probably weight less than a 26'' tire on a 12. Since you will have more aluminum and less rubber. The only thing that changes between the two is the amount of sidewall on the tire. | |

| i think 4x4 pac is rite. and i never had any sidewall problems on the 14 inch rim i guess cuase maybe the smaller sidewall is stiffer making it less easy to penatrate . but ive seen that running lower psi in a 12 inch rim helps in sidewall flex and better traction in rocks..... just an observation from watchin other peoples rides ive got 14's on mine just because they were on it at the dealer. id like to get a set of 12" douglas diablo beadlocks l8ter and some gbc grim reaper 8 ply tires eventually | |

| I don't think they make the type 7 non beadlocks anymore. I thought they discontinued those. One thing to think about too. It seems that the 14" tires are more expensive on almost all types. | |
