| Gunny, I drove from Central Mass down through Connecticut into Bayside, NY (down past the Bronx and La Guardia, across from Long Island) to get my good deal on my 450, so driving into Connecticut instead would've been a pleasure in comparison...
If you buy any machine with dealer-installed accessories, you'll pay a premium price for them, in comparison to shopping around and installing them yourself. Unfortunately, the aftermarket for the Commander is still "slim" because those aftermarket vendors are just now starting to receive them ...
I'm leery of the first year of any new machine -- for example, I could've gotten a holdover 2008 Teryx for a great price from the same dealer where I got my 450 -- but I passed on it, for several reasons, including it being carbed, but mostly because it was a 1st year model.
You're the one who brought up pricing not me... I'm just trying to "keep it real"... you don't have to pay $4K more for a Commander than a RZR-S, out the door, unless you choose to do so...

| Yes, Gunnie, it seems nothing has changed....
1. If someone doesn't own what you own, then it's $hit...
2. When confronted with published facts, like the manufacturer's MSRP, you start back-pedalling and trying to go in different directions...
3. If someone doesn't agree with you, they're a "hater" even if I never mentioned a RZR, much less you, until you entered this thread in a different brand's subforum...
4. The links that I provide aren't "real" when they document experience different from the links that you conveniently don't provide regarding pricing.
Yep, seems nothing has changed with you at all...

I said this when SOMEONE decided to bring this back to this forum. For a 56 year old he acts more like a 5 year old. Nothing will ever change. His stuff is the best, everyone else has nothing but junk. And I don t see were he was drug into this conversation, he just wanted to come in here and bash something that he cant have! Glad we dont have to put up with this child on the Invite only forum since he will never be there!

| Fabricated? No.... assumed, yes. Look at XXXoffroad's library of Commander videos. It includes test rides, winching, coverage of their accessories and engineering, etc. None of them state modified nor none of them state stock. Since no mention of modified was made for ANY of the videos, and many are clearly of stock machines, I think stating stock was a safe assumption. I still do... just as I think you're trying to sidestep things when confronted. https://www.youtube.com/user/XXXOffroadNot sure how much it impacts the performance comparison, but in the video you linked, the titles/subtitles clearly state that it was done with two passengers (approximately 340 lbs), and an XT with accessories. Looking at the later parts of the video, that XT has a roof (both front and rear panels) and the back bumper, and I'm not sure what else. Both weight and drag are certainly a factor, but I'm not sure how much... Who knows the condition of the machines in each video, nor their tuning -- especially given the Commander's throttle-by-wire governor instead of a simple rev limiter to bouce off of... | |

| Jerry, Gunny and I have a "history" of this kind of stuff -- plus, he throws $hit like a $4000 price difference out and I call him on it... No, he just says I'm fabricating stuff -- sorry to tell you guys, but I can't weld... and my shade-tree engineering certainly wouldn't earn me the title of a "fabricator"... Or, should I consider a "fabrication" as "a lie" which was obviously what he intended... Would that mean calling me out? What if I called YOU a liar? Would you feel like I'd called you out? Just curious ... Meanwhile, I've asked the guy who made the vid if it was truly a stock Commander... and been as honest as I know how to be otherwise. I acknowledged the one assumption that I made, while repeatedly saying "I don't know..." in response to some other points or questions. Meanwhile, I substantiated my points with facts and links, where I could... meanwhile, I'm not shy to stand up and counter his BS, regardless of whether he (or anyone else) thinks I have SAC or not... | |

| I did'nt read where Gunny called you a liar or fabricator, he just posted a video that shows a different outcome than yours and states that the one in your video might be modified. | |

Yeah Jerry, I think Gunny is reaching here. Kent is not one to embellish. However, Gunny has been know to over exaggerate from time to time. But he does make things interesting!!!!!! Plane simple fact is the Commander is faster then the RZR and will beet it in a drag race every time. The RZR use to be the biggest and fastest. It is not the fastest anymore. I am okay with that because speed is not why I love my RZR.

| I like my RZR. However, if the Commander is the machine that everyone is making it out to be, Melissa may be the driver of one after this next deployment. I just wanna see how the thing holds up to our type of riding. I am not gonna own a machine that has to go to the shop all the time, be it covered under warranty or not. | |

I see he did...In the begining I believe it was just about that the can-am in your video might be modified, Until the angry mob tag teamed Gunny!! Its not about who has the fastest or best ride or even who has the biggest balls!! its the bashing, I thought with Gunny we were going to let bygones be bygones!!

| Jerry, Go look at the comments below the video I originally posted, and you'll see where I asked to confirm if that is a stock Commander, to which the guy replies: >> Totally stock. What do they think has been done to it? This vehicle is so new there are no performance products for it yet.<< Yet, Gunny comes into a topic and calls me a liar, after I've replied to him "nicely" a couple of times, and yet I'm the one who's supposed to "let bygones be bygones?" I'll reply to that the same way that I replied to his "four grand more $$" .... He's a big boy, if he can't stand the heat without "calling names" then he should stop barging into someone else's kitchen... As I recall, this is the first time I've even responded to him since he's come back... so I certainly wasn't the one looking to cause trouble... yet he's the "victim" and I'm the "troublemaker"... As my signature implies, why is it an affront to someone's manhood if there happens to be a UTV faster than theirs? Heck, even the new JD Gator 825i is faster than my Rhino 450, but so far that hasn't effected my sex-life, my family life, nor how my friends interact with me... | |

| So much BS over nothing, first i did not call anyone a liar, i said the word STOCK was a fabrication and it clearly was as in the youtube description of the video that word is nowhere to be found and when kent placed his topic header he alone decided to place it there. Thus he fabricated the title. As to no after market parts being available, that is not true at all and i posted a video of the dual exhaust canam commander x the factory can am guys had with them. Some might say it would not be a reach to say someone trying to promote a new product might have used the modified can am to do a video showing how quick it was, being they did not label THEIR video STOCK can am 0-73 in 13 seconds. Ive read many reviews from people that have test drove these machines and never heard one say they performed like that one did. Oh and stop whining about 4k more unless you can post something giving us a OTD price on a commander x. Im no victim, and never thought i was one, i can give and take shit as good as anybody. Here kent, here is the topic about the guys with deposits on the X http://www.rzrforums.net/other-side-side-vehicles/30799-deposit-commander-ouch.html
