you probably missed one of the better days to ride. Thursday loaded up the boat and went to the clinch. Generators running wide open to keep up with kw demand made for some good egg fishing.

So much BS over nothing, first i did not call anyone a liar, i said the word STOCK was a fabrication and it clearly was as in the youtube description of the video that word is nowhere to be found and when kent placed his topic header he alone decided to place it there. Thus he fabricated the title. As to no after market parts being available, that is not true at all and i posted a video of the dual exhaust canam commander x the factory can am guys had with them. Some might say it would not be a reach to say someone trying to promote a new product might have used the modified can am to do a video showing how quick it was, being they did not label THEIR video STOCK can am 0-73 in 13 seconds. Ive read many reviews from people that have test drove these machines and never heard one say they performed like that one did. Oh and stop whining about 4k more unless you can post something giving us a OTD price on a commander x. Im no victim, and never thought i was one, i can give and take shit as good as anybody.
No, Gunny, you didn't come outright and call me a liar. You started with "henky" and I passed on that one:
Main Entry: hinky Part of Speech: adj Definition: nervous or suspicious; acting suspiciously Example: The teenagers were acting hinky.
But, then you went on to "fabricate" and "embellish:"
fab·ri·cate /ˈfæbrɪˌkeɪt/ Show Spelled[fab-ri-keyt] Show IPA –verb (used with object), -cat·ed, -cat·ing. 1. to make by art or skill and labor; construct: The finest craftspeople fabricated this clock. 2. to make by assembling parts or sections. 3. to devise or invent (a legend, lie, etc.). 4. to fake; forge (a document,
em·bel·lish /ɛmˈbɛlɪʃ/ Show Spelled[em-bel-ish] Show IPA –verb (used with object) 1. to beautify by or as if by ornamentation; ornament; adorn. 2. to enhance (a statement or narrative) with fictitious additions.
I acknowledged that I assumed that the machine was stock, after repeatedly answering "I don't know" to your questions, and I've since gone back to the guy who posted it and confirmed it was stock. Fabricate? You similarly fabricated your description of the one you posted, saying "only 69 mph in over 2 minutes and 1.2 miles to get there. " Was that information in the title or description of the video you posted? No? Yet, no one "accused you" of fabrication or embellishment, nor anything like that. Why is it OK for you to do so, but not for me?
Meanwhile, you're still trying to sidestep what you said and what you meant...
If you were as big a guy as you like to act like you are, you'd own up to what you said and what you meant when you said it, rather than ducking it. But, I repeat, nothing has apparently changed...
I rest my case, and I'm done with this discussion. Come back and have the "last word" if you feel like it... I've made my point to anyone who'll objectively look at the situation, and I'm done here.

Kent, great good. I am so glad you posted the definitions of those words for gunny since he probably doesn't own a dictionary. Maybe he will study the definitions and know what they mean.

Ok as a Can-am ATV owner here's my $.02 after just watching the video:
Seems stock. Not loud at all. Sounds like my 800 at idle. Acceleration seems normal for a slight downhill. I am certain this is not a flat land or uphill video. Looks like the gravel roads I rode in Utah 2 years ago. 0 to 73 in 12 seconds would not really impress me on a slight downhill. Heck -- my Rhino can do 56 mph pretty quick on the downhill into the McD's side of Welch.
With that said I have ridden every brand of ATV and none of them touch Can-am in performance. The ATV club I ride with is slowly adding more Can-am's -- when members upgrade it's almost always to a Can-am in the last several years...

Well kent my intent was not to be discommodious and i did not think you worded your topic in a palter manner. My animadversion of it was meant to show only that some things may not always be what they seem to be. We both are just confabulist's and we some times tend to excursus as the topic goes on, most of my posts are done in a raillery manner with no intent to cause umbarge to anyone. As for 4x4 pac, his pettifogger and pejorative comments are just blatherskite but i would expect nothing more from him. Peace to all.

Pac, I hate to say this, but I have held my breath long enough. You are always complaining about Gunny.....but you are usually the one to intice an argument by commenting on a post that you have no reason in.....and then you just join in and begin your usual squable over nothing. If you can't make a post that is not somewhat positive, then you don't need to post on it at all. Sorry for the soap box but I am plain sick of this arguing, bashing directed towards other members that goes on here most everyday.........

Fist off smith since you had a birthday I thought you might grow up some, but I guess not I have an 11 yr old that has more common scents that you do and I am for sure not the only one that is complaining about gunny. Second I have just as much right to comment on a post as anyone else. Third in case you cant/didnt read the previous page, I think gunny was the first one to start by opening his mouth about someones post. Like I said a long time ago, when the crap comes back the crap hits the fan. Now instead of opening you mouth again why dont you go out and remove the little screw next to your water pump housing and start it up to remove all the air.

Are you sure about stock? this video is quite different doing the same test where they run it for over 2.5 minutes and barley reach 69 at the end, and watch the trip meter it takes them 1.2 miles on flat ground to get there.
Pac, that was Gunny's 1st post on this topic, and it don't seem like he was "running his mouth", but asking a simple question if it was stock or not. Thanks for asking about the bleeder screw, after bleeding the air out, my Rhino will run about 150. And for the record, the bleeder screw is on the thermostat housing, not the water pump.....

So what you are saying smith is that you are (one of a very few) a gunny kiss ass. Or is it that he is really your grandpa? Oh and yes you might be right about the thermostat housing as it has been a long time since we have had a single cylinder engine in our shop, most people have a twin. But if you are only running at 150 you better get a new thermostat or gauge. Most run about 180 with the fan coming on at 190, you are not even up to normal operating temp.

My buddy has a big bore 720 motor with a 12.75-1 piston,Camshaft,ported/polished and his only will run about 160-180. The richer you are, the cooler the motor will run. Mine runs about 150-170. You said that I am "one of a very few" of a gunny suck up........who is the other few people? Mason, I have probably been on that list for a while now......
