I just got a gopro camera and am trying to figure out the best spot to mount it. I dont want to see to much of the hood while filming but didnt want it too far out on the hood for banches to knock it around. if you have one what is the best spot that you found to mount it.

If you got the suction mount with it mount it midway on your hood usually a good spot for what your asking. If you didnt get the suction mount you can find em cheap on ebay

I mounted mine on the speedo hump in the middle of the hood with the curved advesive mount. Here is a video of mine going up 12 at Windrock.
And how I have it mounted.
I tried the suction mount and it would not stay on, when moving at a good speed over rocks.

Way to much vibration off the rollcage. Do not get one.

Lol, well whats wrong and what I dont like are two different things...
It wont record, says it is, but nothing comes up, and when it does record it quits recording on its own, within a matter of 20 seconds or so. I gotta hit up Go-Pro and see if they will fix it under warranty.
I am going to a Contour camera....so much easier to use, its either on or off! I dont care for the GoPro mounts, I almost lost it in Harlan....somehow it got knocked from infront of my windsheild into the passenger floorboard! Plus Im a dealer for Contour.

Mine is mounted on my cage up top behind my rearview mirror. I don't have any problems with vibration. I just welded a small piece of flat bar to the cage and used a flat mount with the double sided tape.
