PostSubject: 14" wheels   14" wheels EmptyTue Apr 05, 2011 11:12 am

Am I the only person that got 14" wheels on there RZR? It came with Bighorns and I've kicked around selling the tires for something else. Guess I just want to complain but there isn't much in the 27" range that has somewhat of an aggressive tread. If anybody is interested in a 26" skinny wide combo on 14" wheels, pm me. Tires have 47 miles on them. I may buy 28" Terminators.

Jeep, 14's were all the rage some years ago but due to the limited sizes, compared to 12's, and short-sidewalls (Pinch) they have sorta fell from the lime-light these days.

Check out GCB. They are a tough tire.

The standard RZR is ok with 12" wheels isn't it? No issues with clearance for the brakes?

Cat, what kinda tire r u runnin?

Big-R, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see an aggressive GBC in 14". Right now I'm runnin Bighorns and I think it and the Dirt Tamer are similar. But I'm not overly impressed with the Horns on clay and slick surfaces.

Not sure how aggressive you want. But I have these tires and they are great and tough.

Also, these are close to an XTR tread pattern. I might try them next time....

I wouldn't run the xtrs unless you like to plug your side wall of your tires. Everybody that I know that has run the xtrs or teracross has had problems with side wall pinching. Too soft ride is good but too soft.

I have ran XTR's and think they are a great gripping tire. But you are right they are soft. That is why I suggested these.

I had an issue with ITP mudlite's and that's only name brand I avoid now. I was just looking for something a bit more aggressive, like theKenda Executioner, Mudbug, GBC Gator. I do like the Terminator tire, but for 28's there around $170/tire. Plus I might need more than the 2" lift for tight turns.

I run the Executioners, will not have to buy another set of tires ever!!! They wear like stone, they are a bit heavy but the toughest tire on a UTV or quad I've ever owned. You can air-them down to 2-lbs and can't tell they are low, the sidewalls are stiff, very stiff because they are bias-ply ,not soft-sided radials. And they are cheap too........ thatsright
