| For those of you who have Diesel trucks. I ended up with an almost $800.00 repair bill . To have my Fuel tank dropped, and the entire fuel system flushed including new filters. The fuel had alot of water with a oily sediment that it left in my tank. Clogging my filters and causing my truck to go into safe mode, which is real fun when your towing a trailer. The last tank of fuel i bought during my trip to Ashland was from a small mini mart in Bluefield, WV Called S&S Mini mart on RT52. Im not saying they were the cause, since I have no diffinitive proof. But they are Highly suspect. So i would advise not to buy diesel from them. But from a major chain. However Big D filled up with gas at this same place and has had no problems with his truck to my knowledge and i put gas from this place in my quads that week with no problems. | |

| I had that happen several years ago. The place denied any other customers having problems. That was the only place I fueled up near my house. I finaly found out that their supplier notified them of bad fuel, but they would not do anything. | |

| The fuel everywhere is getting bad, A store operator told me they are now blending slight amounts of ethanol in the diesel as well as gas. my mileage has dropped about 2-3mpg over the last 3 months new fuel filters, air filter makes no difference. the fuel we are buying is just getting worse.
How can we become energy independant when we are having to buy more gas or fuel caue of the mileage drop?

| I am a Service Manager 30 yrs Heavy/Medium Trucks, always sugguest buy fuel from busy stations if not a truck stop(fresh fuel each day) keep your tanks full, never park @ 1/2 especially in winter. We do at least 1 system clean a month, last month was a 2012 IHC MaxxForce DT 9k miles, total bill over $4k includes 6 injectors, fuel pumps, drain, flush, 2 sets filters for both truck and reefer, $5 per gal disposal for the bad fuel. Driver had starting buying fuel at Mom&Pop station where G/F worked. Problem much worse since fuel crunch and ULSD. FoxFire the rust is from ULSD in a system not protected for it, no real cure except K1 and it is dyed. | |

| Got my first diesel truck a few weeks ago and man you guys are scaring me already lol.. We have a nice newer chevron station I drive by every morning dropping my son off at preschool. So far around home thats where I've been filling up. They stay VERY busy in the mornings with all the construction guys filling up their diesels. When we go out of town with the trailer I pretty much alwasy stop at either a loves or a pilot. With all the emissions crap my truck has no telling what a tank of junk fuel would do to it... | |

| 8 ball. I never had a problem till i slipped and bought from a out of the way mom and pop place. I usually stick to the busy stations that get alot of truck traffic or were i know the local municipalities fill there work vehicles at. But i will stick to truck stops from now on when im out of town. | |

| 8Ball, it would help your truck tremendously to do a 4" or 5" exhaust on your truck. The biggest problems with the LML Duramax's is all the emissions equipment on them, like the VERY restrictive Muffler, the DPF, and the SCR/DPF. I can help you out on anything with them, just let me know.... | |
