Army (RA) 19D Cav Scout (1999-2001), recieved a service related inury in early 2001....discharged in late 2001.

Had a ball.....

Every man on my "Sanders" side has served since WWI, Ive got 7 sets of tags on my dresser post....with the oldest being my great grandfathers WWI tag. Needless to say, we are a proud family with STEEP respect of patriotism.

Joined at 29, turned 30 in basic training.........been some good times and bad. Would not trade the experience for anything in the world. I have been called outstanding, stellar, and squared away. I also think some people have called me a dick, but not exactly in the context you are using.....

I joined at 21.......was reborn at 5-15 CAV reg at Ft Knox......

If you ever get a chance to get there, check out some real good friends of mine....aptly named...Misery, Agony and heartbreak. Any one that has spent any time there can relate to those dreaded words :)

Retired with 21 Years on active duty (Army). Airborne LT is my little Brother. Basic and AIT at Ft. Bliss, TX as a Vulcan Crew Member (Air Defense) did 2, 12 month tours in Korea, 5 1/2 years in Ft. Hood TX. 4 1/2 years at Ft. Campbell, KY where I introduced LT to the Army. And the rest of my time was spent as an Army Recruiter. I retired in 2005 and have worked for the Army as a Government employee and contractor since. Still serving. Thanks to all who serve and have served.

A big THANK YOU to all of our Armed Forces Service personell for service rendered to our GREAT COUNTRY ! And to those who gave all, we should never forget what they invested to help secure our way of life and liberties.

27 years total in USAF blue, 15 on active duty, 12 in guard/reserve. Retired in 2003 but won't get my first Uncle Sugar check until 2012 when I turn 60...

My wife did almost 24, 8 active and 16 in the reserve, retiring in 2003 also. Both of us started as enlisted troops, then selected for OTS and were commissioned.

With over 50 years service between us, I think we took our turn on watch...

I'd say y'all have done 'bout as much as two can do !!

We are glad you and the other military boys are here on this site. It makes me feel safe......

I wouldn,t be to quick to say you feel safe. On the Windrock night ride last Friday did you wonder what that red dot was that kept showing up on you forehead. :)

Well the Marine Corps comes under the Department of the Navy --- "THE MENS DEPARTMENT"
