| Guys, need to get with BigD to let him know who is eating at the camp grounds...the Thunder Bay Hotel serves a kick ass pizza, so one night we can all head up town and give the cooks a deserved break (looks like you'll get to see the place in real time, Yank!) Just for the record, do not bring any fire wood with you unless the bark has neen totally removed, but coming across the Mac bridge, I would not recommend it period.

| Here is more information about the area, trails, trail reports, some videos etc...might help you guys.. It helped me.. http://www.fishweb.com/recreation/orv/index.htmlAlso, not sure how many of you use GPS, but VV mapping is a GREAT tool, and the guy that runs it is AWESOME.. I use his maps for WV, and MI. There you will be able to download trail maps for MI.. Not sure which ones we need, or if he has everything.. but its a place to start. http://www.vvmapping.com/I have found this page is easiest to tell where the trails are, then you can print a copy of the trail, or like I say you could download them to your GPS. http://www.vvmapping.com/trails/trailBigPicture.htmlIF your worried about loading the maps, you can email the owner, he will call you back and help you.. I have done this almost every year when I update my maps as the first year I tried to do it myself... :) Looks like that fire was pretty significant.. here is a video of the trails and fire http://www.fishweb.com/recreation/orv/reports.htmlthanks | |

| Hey Gun.....what GPS do you have? We will have to get together soon and go over some of the area that we will be riding. As I posted back to you earlier in this thread, I just ride out in what ever direction with my GPS on tracking and then I know I can find my way back. Also, I picked up the 2012 trail map the other week when I was in Big Bay......we can get one for everyone when we get their ORV stickers @ Crams. Load up Marquette County in your GPS......we'll see what is there that I do not know. | |

| Fox, is this warning for real, or are the snowmobilers just trying to keep the ATV guys off their trails? Or, are there trails that we can and cannot use? | |

Yea this is for real. No the snowmobilers are not trying to keep you off the trail but the clubs lease land off private property owners that are ok with it in the winter. Come summer the owners do not want traffic (noise) crossing their land and also ATV’s do more damage to their property than snowmobiles. That is where the trespassing ticket comes into play from the DNR or Sherriff. Kinda suczzz because I know alot of sledding trails . | |

| You can ride all of the snowmobile trails....this was a law that was passed like 5 years ago, but Fire Pup is correct about the private land part. Some of the snomo clubs lease land from land owners and as he said, they want their summers to themselves. They either have gates or some measure of warning to let you know....no big deal. | |
