| Well got my clutch in yesterday. Put it in this morning. Didn't buy the tools so I had to get a little creative. The clutch puller was 50 bucks and the stupid spring compressor was 79! I ended up just using a 3/4 fine thread bolt to get the clutch off. For the compressor I pretty much copied the one you buy. Took some scrap steel and a short piece of 1/2 all thread. Didn't really spend much time making it so its not he prettiest, but it got the job done. And considering the bolt was 3.50 and the scrap steel was free it beats the heck out of spending 130 bucks on the factory tools. As far as the clutch it self goes. I'm happy with it so far. I told him on the phone what I had and what I wanted. He sent the weights already set up, but with a box full of different bolts and washers if I needed to do any adjusting. I haven't drove it that much so I can't say for sure its perfect. It seems much better though.. RPMs get up to where they should be quick and the machine pulls much harder. Clutch engages smooth. This is what was in the box And this is the long ass black streaks I left with my 28" 8 ply tires in my driveway when I was testing it out! The first couple times I stomped it from a dead stop I really wasn't to impressed cause it didn't feel that much faster even though the RPMs were getting up more.. Took me watching the back tires instead of the tach to figure out the machine wasn't moving that fast cause it was just smoking the tires lol. I only did 3-4 runs from a dead stop and my new back tires don't look so good :(I'd say if you have added some weight and bigger tires a clutch it might be worth looking in to.. | |

Thanks! You can't really see the mounting points good in the finished picture. But they attatch in 4 places. Never heard of sMe. do you mean SLP? (starting line products) If its them I think theirs pretty much does away with the engine braking. I wanted to reduce it mainly at high speeds but not loose it all together. I was looking at the Dalton from hunter works, but I kind of heard mixed things about it.

Not real sure. Its still there but much less. I've only drove it around my field and up and down the road. So haven't really had a chance to take it down a hill to see how it holds now. He also sells a helix that keeps the stock brake as is, so if it is to light I can just trade this one out. So far I like it better though. Go to jump it and it doesn't lock the back tires up when I land like it use to. You do use the brake more now though. Before on a turn at speed you could just let off the gas and it was almost like you were on the brake.. Now at higher speeds let off the gas and it doesn't slow you down at all. Which I like better. As long as holds going down big hills and doesn't free wheel I'll be happy.

Not to worried about it. only one inch wider tires and one inch wider rims. Its not like the stock bearings hold up anyway lol. As soon as these get some play in them I'll stick some all balls bearings in like I did my 800

| They also make amber covers for these lights now gimpy. That's also suppose to help in fog and dust. I'm going to see how just the SR light does first and if dust still blinds me then I'm going to pick up some of those covers and give them a try. Atleast a couple to cover up my floods at the ends.. The floods are what blinds you so bad in the dust | |

| Well if you have a xp900 4 LE don't order springs from utv inc.. They are the only ones selling King progressive springs which is what I had on my 800 and loved them. Ordered a set last week soon as I opened the box I knew they were wrong. Way to small. Sure enough they don't fit. Called them today and the guy acted like I was an idiot. He said they don't make them for walker evans shocks on the 900 4. Only for the standard 900 4 shocks. Said I needed to go to their site and fill out a return form. Here is what their site says under the springs I ordered Want to upgrade the springs for your Walker Evans shocks on the XP 4 900 RZR? This is the ticket! We have done extensive testing with the stock shock and the Kings Springs Progressive Springs for the XP 4 900 with Walker Evans shocks. These will replace the OEM springs and give you improved ground clearance and a much better and comfortable ride. Especially needed when adding a cage, bumper, spare tire, storage box, etc. The springs come powder coated SILVER. Price is for 4 springs - 2 front, 2 rear.
Oh yeah I'm the idiot.. Extensive testing they say.

| BTW got the spring deal worked out. Nick the owner of UTV inc got it straight and my new springs have been on for a while. They do infact sell the correct springs. Apparently the guy on the phone just didnt' have a clue.. They shipped me the correct springs and included a return label to send back the others. So it worked out. Nick handled it great. Now I have been wanting a set of Apex seats from utv giant for a while now. Even started to order them a couple times and just couldn't fork out the cash just for seats when there isn't anything really wrong with my stock seats. Well they have a new spyder version of their apex seats. Pretty much the same seat just looks different and IMO matches the stock seats much better. The front seats looking way different then the rear seats was one of the things that kept me from getting the original Apex seats. Once I seen these I couldn't resist any more lol. Got them in last night. My only concern is I hope I don't fall asleep on night rides now | |
