| Ok another problem its been happening for a little while when i hit the brakes with a decent amount of pressure or to the floor it makes a horrible grinding/rattling noise so i changed front and rear pads, fronts were still decent, but it is still doing it so im wondering if its due to the rear brake being on the rear shaft if its casuing it to rattle when im stopping??? | |

| Check the allen bolts on your rear rotor and make sure they are tight. | |

IT AINT A LEXUS - ITS AN OFFROAD TOY - AND ITS GONNA MAKE NOISE....
i partially agree - as long as the noise isnt something going wrong...

| Like brake fluid W-D 40 is flammable. Every heard dont get brake fluid on your brake pads. Although a fire under there would look cool at night I dont think it would turn out to cool. IMO W-D 40 is only good for applications that see minimal dust or mud. I use silicon and it works better and doesnt collect dirt like W-D.
I had to my rear pads the first time at I believe around 600 miles. The second piece of shit pads (KBC) I put on lasted to about 800 miles. I tryed to find the post on here where I was bitchin about that but couldnt. Id pull em just to take a look see. At 940 miles now and the sintered pads seem to be holding up better than the not sintered.
This thread brings up a question. Why is the hell would yamaha put two different sets of pads for the right and left front. I cant see a 'sell more pads gimmick'. Anybody know why?
