RZR 900 universal/ U-Joints

I need to replace all the universal joints in my RZR XP 900. I think the part number for Precision is #1501. The question I have, does that work for all three joints? Also, has anyone found a after market yoke that works for the XP?

Front yoke splines damaged?

I used the Precision 338 from Orielly's.Yes,all 3 are the same.I've replaced all mine.Haven't heard about the yokes.

This might help if yoke is not too far gone.

So you used the 338's for all three? If that is the case then I will go and get them.

From what I read on the big forum both part #'s will work but some had trouble with the 338's fitting too tight. Sounds like the1501's press in easier.
They was buying 1501's from Napa.

That is the number I came up with for the XP 900.

If you have not removed the drive shaft yet, they was taking off the passenger side tire and fishing it out around the coolant hoses.

No it is not off yet. KI really didn't know that the axle was dry in the diff. That makes this much easier then I thought.

Any idea what caused all of this? Mud and water attack the universals? Stress? Oversize tires? Too much axle droop pop the axle out?

Yes!!!!  

Really, I have over 2000 miles on the XP and I am not easy on it. Both axle that were broke were do to

the main cause of all this was a BIGR  

I just bought all balls for mine. My u joints are shot, but I have 2400 hard miles on mine

Yes I did.They fit perfect and are greaseable.

I ve got mine on the work bench as of this evening .my very front u joint is locked up ..its so rusted .im gonna go ahead and replace all three with 2100 miles.
Big r ....are u replacing ur carrier bearing? Mine is on the way.219 30 mm off amazon with a grease fitting.

Yes I have a new carrier bearing ready for install. I just need to know the right U-Joints.

Thanks for starting this thread...now I know the right ujoints.soak the pin in the front shaft with pen oil....makes life easier .

None yet ....1501 or 338 is what I will get accirding to post.wonder is 1501 s have grease fitting s? I will get which ones have fittings

That is what I am thinking.....

1501 is 1.485 and the 338 is 1.5 inches wide. Which is a difference of .015. So measure with a mic the inside of the yoke and get the correct one. Both are greasable.

I will. The 1501 number came from Chipper.........   

great another thing to look forward to. What does it sound / feel like when the u-joints go bad?
