| Wv rhino green hornet and myself have been running kn on our rhinos for a couple of years.I too was not sure about the kn in dusty areas. But last week we tore down green hornets rhino and checked the cylinder and after 2000 mile the cylinder still had cross hatch marks in it. I have tried the kn and the uni and i can tell a power difference when we tried to go from kn to uni we had to rejet the carb and seemed to lose power. But with the kn we took them off after every ride and cleaned them i mean everytime. so keep that in mind. | |

I'm by no means an expert on air filters, but I had always heard that the more dirty the K&N gets is the better it filters. So with what your saying it does the job even while fresh. | |

| In last months SXS Action Mag., they visited the K&N factory, and confirmed what yank says, they do less filtering when clean because of the media.

| kN's suck, they suck more air and filter less, thats why they improve performance. If filtering out dirt is what you want a oiled uni will do that better. A dirty kn fiters better cause all that dirt is stopping up holes where more dirt could enter. Its all in the wording, K&N never said the performance would increase the dirtier it got did they | |

| No matter which filter you choose, nothing beats regular cleaning. At cleaning time is the time to inspect your intake. Wipe inside with a clean towl and look for evidence of dust blow-by. If the intake is clean, then you are good to go. If you are finding dust or dirt, then you might want to re-think you filter usage. | |

| I run a K/N on my King with an outerwear. I have no complaints. I plan on using the UNI on the Rhino since everyone swears by them. | |
