| I have driven both and 660 and 450 the 660 has a little more grunt down low and higher top end but in most trail riding situation you really can't see the differences. Maybe WFO you could tell but the trails we ride on you really can't go that fast. I ride with all ATV' s and I have no problem keep'n up with anyone on the trail. Few mods and the 450 is dead even with a stock 660. If I were into racing or dunes I would have got the 660 or waited for the 700. For what I do, mudd'n and trail riding the 660 would be a waist. | |

| I drove both one after the other and got the 450, there was no $1300 difference in power. If you want power and speed get a RZR. | |

I've owned both, it's way more than a 1300.00 difference. |

| Here in Ct it was $1295.00 difference between the 2. and the power diff was not worth it ,maybe $400 thats it . | |

| It is true that the stock 660 vs. 450 is very little difference in performance. In a 50 yard drag race in the stock machines, the 660 will win by less than a machine length. The on trail low and mid speed performance cannot be noticed, and the top speed is 37MPH for the 450 and 41MPH for the 660. Hardly worth the $1300.00 to $1700.00 difference in price for the digital dash. With that being said, Yamaha sells the stock 450 maxed out performance wise, and the 660 severely detuned and choked down. Why, due to safely legality from what I hear. But, that don't make sense to me when they sell 200HP Snowmobiles, and 200MPH street bikes. There are no modifications short of a complete motor overhaul (Cam,Piston, pipe, intake etc..) that will increase the performance of the 450, so don't waste your money on any. On the otherhand, for less than $300.00 you can add a RAIS intake, A exhaust tip,Retune and Jet Carb, and add a CDI to the 660 that will greatly enhance the performance of the 660, and make a real difference between the 660 and 450. So, if you don't want to modify your stock machine, definately buy the 450 and don't waste your money.. If you want to really get the most performance out of your Rhino, Get the 660 and spend the $300.00.

| I'll agree with you, but I use mine on the trails only. So the $1300 is better spent on tires , wheels , winch and more and still have money left over. | |

| I was actually going to buy a 07 450 when I got mine in October, But could not find any close enough to be worth the drive. I could have gotten one close to the house here for $7500.00 + $375.00 tax, but chose to get a 660 in Ohio instead for $8700.00 with no tax. When I saw that I could get the 660 for $825.00 more, I decided to go with it. All the 450's within a decent driving distance for me in Ohio or Kentucky where I could avoid taxes were gone. They had 08's but were not dealing on them at all. The best deal I found at the time was on a 07 450 over close to Memphis, TN. for $7049.00 out the door, but didn't want to drive 500 miles to get it. The 450 is a great machine, especially when you consider you can have one for the price of a Grizzly. | |

| love my 660 and i have ridden both - stock - on many different terrain.
plus I like the new mods as someone mentioned earlier. But...there is a reason Yami makes em both. To each his own. | |

| I've driven Tellico's fo fiddy... and I couldn't really tell a big difference. I could feel alittle difference with the top end and also in the throttle response... but, for the kind of riding we do... the 450 is plenty. kind of riding being: Trails, rock crawling, muddin', etc. haven't ridden in the dunes with mine... and probably never will. I can also tell you that i've gone up some pretty steep hills... and Tellico was right behind me. granted, he had a serious pucker factor going... but, none the less... he made it up everything i did. I think a 450 is completely capable... |
