| What would be the purpose for using differential supports, Who makes them and how hard are they to install ? | |

| I can comment on us older 660 guys. The 700's have a little more support. On the 660's, the diff, especially the rear, will try to twist on the mounts and if you didn't stay on top of the bolts-check wise, they would eventually break the mounts. In 08 Yamaha improved the mounting surface area with more bolts. |

| I do not think the support is needed in the 08's or newer. However, I could change my mined if I brake it in the future...... | |

| I had a noise from 2pm on Saturday that I could not place. sounded like a cracked frame....The squeaking went away with a bath. suspension....But, i swear the rear diff is flexing in the frame mounts a bit. That is apparently where the sound is coming from. I think.... I didnt see any place that it could come from, other than the a-arm bushings. I hope like hell the frame gussets aren't broke.
I am ordering a rear support brace for it today. I will know more when I get home today. Tonight I plan on taking it apart and checking it out. Anyone have any input? Best brace to buy? I like the lonestar setup, but some of the others brackets bolt to multiple spots. I'm thinking that would be stronger.
