Ajusting shock preload? Empty
PostSubject: Ajusting shock preload?   Ajusting shock preload? EmptySun Jul 12, 2009 4:45 pm

How much can I crank up the front shock preload with out it affecting the ride? It was in the second setting, and I just put it in the third one. Can I go up more with out it making it ride rough? One other thing. Can I crank the driver side up one more that the passenger side? I am a rather large man. An I think it leans little more to the driver side. My wife thinks it rides a lot rougher than the RZR. I think the 14 inch wheels with 26 inch tire don't help with the ride. They look good but I think with less side wall flex it rided rougher.

It is an 05 so it has settled a little to.

You can crank the shocks all the way if you want to, they are very weak from the factory. No matter how stiff you set them it will still bottom out. The only way around it is go get aftermarket springs or Progressive 425 shocks (best option).

Putting the progressive's on was the best thing I could have done, I have never bottomed out with them.

I think you can turn them all the way and it still does not ride any rougher but my butt is numb these days.

Turning up your side should be fine.
