| Installed my new lift from RDC today which was really easy to install with minor grinding with an angle grinder(took about an hour total for all four corners) worked great to level up my Rhino. After installing I put a level on my bed rails and several spots on the frame to find it almost level with the nose down only slightly. I took a few measurements before and after to find I gained 2.5 inches at the front bumper and 1 inch at the rear trailer ball. [img] [/img] Before [img] [/img] After [img] [/img] | |

| Very nice looking ride. I just dont understand why these companies that make lifts would make them were the customer has to do grinding. I have heard many people talk about the gorilla lift. They have to totally grind off the lower shock mounts on the rears. To me that lift is total junk if you have to do that. We make all of our lift totally custom for each customers ride. | |

The rear axles are so close to the shocks it is almost impossible to make a lift kit for the rhino without some grinding. One of my rear axles was done rubbing my shock on the right side before the kit, The kit fixed that. Also this kit only raised the rear about one inch and any more would have been to much with out moving the shocks and mounts toward the front a quarter inch or so(which I am thinking about doing anyway). To me this kit is more of a leveling kit not a lift kit it does add noticeable ground clearance but the leveling makes it worth while to me so it is not so nosed down all the time.

| The lift is very strong but I removed it today I got to checking the fit and with the lower shock mounts cleared (maybe 1/16 of an inch) the axle hit hard on the frame on the right hand side with that wheel off the ground. I do not know if it it something to do with the 450's or what but I did a little research and found several with the 08 and 09 450's who were having this same problem with other lifts also, so I guess I go back to stock for now. | |

You know it is funny Yesterday I picked my rhino up from the dealer because my fan was on back order then today I got a phone call from my dealer, my fan was in his hands so I picked it up and installed it this after noon so when my air box gets back next week I will be back up and going.

For the garage I used wood for the frame and just used the metal for the outside it is also fully insulated with insulated doors(really easy to heat and holds it very good). I love it, my brothers build them for a living so I just called them and one day we did the frame the next day we had the time we put on the metal it was really easy and quick with the know how and right tools. Now back to the lift are you running one or did you go back to stock?

| Must have been a frame change on the 08 and up model. I stood on my hubs with the shock off trying to get the upper shock bolts in and the axles did not touch the frame. | |

Might be a frame change, I was thinking maybe an axle change. Does your axles get considerable bigger where the axle crosses the frame on the right side and where the axle crosses the lower shock mounts? Also have you checked to see if your axles was rubbing the lower shock bolt I had to cut about half of it off to get it to clear the axle that's when it really started hitting the frame hard.

No, axles do not get bigger near frame. That is probably it. Wonder if they are now putting the beefier axles in the 450 and 700?????? No, does not rub the lower shock bolt. You need to contact RDC about these issues. He will make it right.

You need to contact RDC about these issues. He will make it right. My axles get a lot bigger at these two points it is also the points where the rubber boot contacts the axle. I sent RDC an e-mail to let him know for this kit to work for me it would only yield maybe an 1/2 inch lift in the rear but that would be cool if the front yielded about 1 inch less so it set just slightly noise down. | thats exactly the way mine looked.i ve seen it on several 07 s and 06 s .its not a frame change.for some reason some hit and some dont. i went back to stock in the rear and just adjusted the shock springs up.i have the sport shocks
also when i turned the tires with it jacked up ,i could tell that the nuckles were locked up they had so much of an angle on them.the wheel wouldnt turn .it would just rock back and forth

Worries me also. I spoke with Paul from RDC and he said to send it back and he would give me a full refund.
