| Not sure of the parking situation any more over at the Dry Hollow Bridge. Can you guys find the Dry Hollow Church at the end of the gravel road down from the Bridge? | |

Yes, I know you have to ride right past the church to get up in there. We can meet you at the church. The camping......all I know is that William (Bigbore) and I were on that Ridgerunners ride at Pickett in August. We both stayed at Jerry's (CNC Guy) family farm for two nights. We met his Dad and Mom and they said we were welcome to come back. I called him last week and asked if William and I could camp there again next weekend. He said it would not be a problem. If anyone else wants to stay, I will definitely want to call and get confirmation that it is okay. They are super nice people and I definitely don't want to overstep my bounds on their hospitality by inviting anyone else without asking. SOOOOO, if anyone else is wanting to stay, I need to know asap so I can make sure it is okay. I can tell you that I will want to do an outstanding job of being a good steward of their place......which means picking up all trash and cleaning up any messes, and also trying our best not to tear up their field.

How will you be coming from Knoxville? Basically which roads were you gonna take. Then I will be able to give you specific directions. Or like I said before. If anybody wants to follow me up from Crossville then I will meet you and we can do that. I am not real sure about the specific directions to Dry Hollow Area. Only done it once. Anybody else need directions or help getting to this ride?

| Rooster,
My self and BlakeT will be coming from Scott County would like to meet up at the intersection at the Poulty feed mill . There is also a bbq place there. I don't rember the name of the road but. It would be where you turn off of 127 to go to Allardt.

| Do we have plenty of parking area lined up. I would not think we can park at the church since they might have something going on sat night. | |

| Here are the GPS Coordinates for the Dry Hollow Church.
N36 39.808 W84 56.171
For those traveling from the South......Take Hwy 127N you will go north of Jamestown and Pall Mall. You will come to Caney Creek Rd at the store in Forbus, Tn. Turn right. This will turn into Ky Hwy 200 after crossing the state line. You will travel this road some distance. You should pass the Old Hancock Grocery (Chestnut Grove) store. Continue on Hwy 200.
You will pass HWY 1009 on your left. Continue on to you come to HWY 1009 on your right. GPS Coordinate for this turn is: N36 42.867 W84 57.588. Turn Right and follow this road for several miles to you get to the Dry Hollow Bridge. Turn right across the bridge then left onto Gravel Road. Follow this gravel road and you will eventually dead end into the Dry Hollow Church. You will need to park in the creek bed before arriving at the church since you cannot park on the church property. You should see several of us already there.
I have never been in from the north so someone else will have to chime in on those directions. This is the best I can do. Again, you will need to park before you get to the church at Dry Hollow. After you go down that Gravel Road, you will cross a small bridge over a dry creek. The church is only about 1 mile further so start looking for a place to park in the creek bed of you will need to turn around at the church. Ride time is gonna be 9:00am CST. We will be leaving from the church parking lot. The trail starts directly behind the church.

Depending on how many are driving in, parking can be tight. You will be parking in a creek bed which is normally dry. Hence the word Dry Hollow Road, Dry Hollow Church. We need to get a final tally on who all is driving in only. Several are camping up the road away and will be riding their wheelers down to ride start point. This is not the ideal situation for parking so it will be nice to know how many are trailering in......Blackhouse Mtn Road allows for more vehicle parking but it is on the other side from where everyone is gonna meet.

If so, I can meet you there and you can follow me. I will give you a time later this week.

Going right on HWY 154 would be incorrect. You will stay straight on HWY 127 out of James. Read my directions in the above post, get a map up on your computer and pre-plan. Or you can wait for me somewhere in Jamestown and I will hook you as I pass by on the way. I will be draggin HIGHLANDER and BLAKET also.

You got any idea where you will be staying at in Jamestown? Cell Phone contact will not be possible for me. AT&T does not work in that part of the country, so it is very important that we get all the details ironed out before next Saturday as to who I am meeting and draggin with me. So far I am meeting, Highlander/BlakeT at the Tru Test gas station at the Hwy 127/Allardt Turn Off.
