I know the best parking is at the park, but since the store has closed is there any good parking (big enough for the whole crew) on the north side?

I'm done too until next year on the L/D trips. Might get Mike to go to Beasly's- Knob, if I can get him out of the House-Mouse mode..........

There are two places that I know for parking on the north side. The Dry Hollow Bridge area and there was a place that opened up this past summer north of the Store maybe 2 miles. Not sure what they charge, nor if they allow camping. Camping at the Dry Hollow Bridge area would not be very private as it is a road with houses on it and you would be camping in the normally Dry creek bed.

9AM is fine with me, I have a route planned out that will give you guys some pretty challenging stuff and some great views. Should be able to get about 40 miles in...

As to parking, there is not much on the north side, logistically it's just not big enough for much of a group or very big trailers. Black House MNT RD is alot farther for me, but is by far the better kicking off point in my opinion. I have been in at about all entrances to this area, and with a group of more than 3-4 you are really better off going in at Black house MNT. There is Plenty of parking and we have never had anything bothered there. But, I will go in where ever you guys want just be aware Dry hollow is Tight and very limited in the Parking Dept...

Interstate 40 Exit 317. Head north on Hwy 127 to Jamestown.

Hwy 127 just north of Jamestown turn right on Hwy 154 towards Pickett State Park.

Approx: 6 miles you will pass the Wildwood Bed and Breakfast. 1,5 miles past the Bed and Breakfast you will see Blackhouse Mtn Road on the left. Turn Left onto Gravel road and follow it for 4.1 miles to Trailhead Parking area. Just park along side the road.

GPS Coordinates are: N36 34.116 W84 51.345

You can enter the GPS cord. into Google and it will give you driving directions to BLack House MNT

All these motels are at Exit 322 I-40 in Crossville, TN. There is a Taco Bell, McDonalds, Hardee's, Quizno Subs, Cancun Mexican, The Bean Pot and The Brass Lantern eating places also located at the same exit. There are 4 Gas Stations also

Jamestown is closest, but the Hotels in Crossville are nicer they are about 45 minutes away...

i think we will come up friday night and stay overnight in crossville

Rooster will be coming up from Crossville that morning you guys can meet up with him and follow him up if you want...

Jodyt, on the hotels in jamestown on a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being the best which would you rank the best all around great hotel??

if you any of you are staying in Crossville, you can follow me up that morning. Just let me know. As far as the motels, The Jordan in Jamestown is about the only one I have seen. It is a smaller Mom and Pop. Not much to eat around there. It is about 15 miles south of the riding area. Crossville is about 45 miles south of the riding area. Usually takes me about 1 hour to get there. Crossville has alot more to offer. Bigger Town.

Can we see the ride list? I would like an idea of who all is coming. I know myself and William (Bigbore) are coming.
