| Looking at putting a windshield on my Rex - Do the 1/2 windshields (not shorty, but true 1/2) keep the dust out of your face in the summer months, but still allow enough ventilation so you don't roast?
The one I'm looking at has a bend at the top and is just below your sightline. I thought about getting a full, but may buy two "halves" and put the upper on in the colder months.

| Yes, 1/2 windshields do a great job. The only thing they dont do is keep the rain out of your face. | |

| I have the same setup you are talking about on my rhino with the Yamaha lower and EMP upper.. I really like it. The lower also blocks some water if you splash a mud hole or creek. | |

| Think I'll go with a half, may get another flat half to add for winter.
Fold downs and tip ups are cool, but I hate to spend that much $$$. I'm kinda cheap!!! LOL

Fold downs and tip ups are cool, but I hate to spend that much $$$. I'm kinda cheap!!! LOL Not only are they expensive, but I've wondered how they hold up when getting smacked by tree branches on narrow trails. I could just picture getting a limb underneath one of the fold-down ones and sending 1/2 of the windshield flying as it ripped it off its hinges before I could slow down... I looked repeatedly at the OEM "tip out" one but that was just more $$ than I was willing to put to the test on these narrow New England trails. So, I bought a 1/2 windshield, and mounted it so that I can use my flexible vinyl "strap-on" temporary windshield with it, if I need to in a downpour or something...

That sounds like a great idea, something I can roll up and stick in a trunk. This may be a bit off topic, but does anyone use canvas or vinyl for doors like the zip offs you see on golf carts?
