Sorry about that ,someone wanted to play kid games, he did pull the starter and put power to it with nothing happening... 2fast4u, glad you edited the one post. It was the right thing to do. Debating, challenging, and even poking fun at each other on relevant issues on the forum and even at each others knowledge or skill relating to them are all cool. Personal attacks on non related issues are not. As a Moderator on the Mud and Guts site, i'm sure you can appreciate the importance of giving respect to a Moderators wishes when they request the members to tone it down and stay on issue. Your Avatar is still not helping in this situation. Removing it and moving on would be the right thing to do.

| Your belt will NOT keep it from starting, unless you have put an aftermarket snowmobile clutch on it!
I hope your machine just died, and the starter happened to take a poop at the same time!
I guess it would be weird, but the starter could have shorted, pulling down the electrical system, and thats why it died on you.

| Muddybuddy, let us know if the new starter fixes it.....Otherwise, I had better get my compression tester, my torque wrench, and head to your house to get started on the motor!! | |

| well if you have ever had to transplant a starter on a rhino trust me its a PITA!!!!! I tried for an hour yesterday and could not get it in felt like i was doin more damage than good trying to push it in, that and having to run to the bathroom every 15 min wasn't helping so i called it a day im feeling a little better today so im gonna give it another shot and let everybody know tonight. This might be a deal breaker tho.. There are two lil wires that plug into your carb right behind it underneath it. The rear one of those was loose when i was putting in the new starter but that could of very well been from where I was moving the carb around to install the starter. | |

| Just put the new starter in finally. Reconnected everything put it back together and..... nothing...... still same tune turn the key and no noise. Im taking any and all suggestions at this point lol. Im gonna go back tonight and triple check everything again! Not sure if the starter not being it a good thing meaning it is something small that im somehow missing or a much bigger issue. However I can turn the motor via the bolt under the fan outside the stator housing. | |

| Did you chase the battery cables? From the battery to the starter and to a good chassis ground?
Did you jump the starter relay? What happened when you did?
You have a bad connection, I would bet on it, with a main battery cable. If you jump the solinoid and nothing happens, its between there and the starter- or - its a bad ground.

| Well alright, just took a set of jumpers and went straight from the battery to the starter. And well it made a noise. It was not a complete turn but more like a half turn like it was trying but it couldn't... tried it 5 times and it did the same thing every time. | |

| Yes, turn it so that you do two complete rotations, this will make sure the camshaft turns all the way, as it turns at half the speed of the crank. | |

| Pull the plug, and the CVT cover. Try to turn it by hand that way or with , I believe, a 22mm socket. | |
