PostSubject: ChrisC's RZR-S Thread   ChrisC's RZR-S Thread EmptyFri Dec 18, 2009 12:45 am

Thought i would make a thread with pictures to show some of the
changes i have done to the S . and how i got from the start to where i am
now. I should of done it long ago. it is some what extensive now.
So we will start from the beginning..... thatsright

This is the day i brought it home..... Eat

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 1_bran10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 2_bran10

First thing was remove all the graphics.
and warning stickers
it just was not my thing... Cool

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 3_grap10

Then i had a sign company make me the 2010 strips
and put them on. I was very happy with this.... Yahoo
I hand cut the 800 EFI out of the graphic with
a zacto knife. that was not easy... affraid

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 4strip10

Then it was time to add the new Racer tech front lift.
While i was into it . I installed the Warn XT30 mount and winch.

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 6_fron10

After that , i added the front EMP A - arm guards
and polaris front bumper and my HID lights.
He is starting to look mean now.... thatsright

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 5_fron10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 7_hids10

So after that , it was time to do the rear lift.
While i had the bed off . i sealed the heat shild so it would
not rattle as thay all do. and sealed all my airbox
connections and installed and outer ware on the air filter... Eat

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 8_rear10

After all that. I installed the unisteer power steering
system. but in doing that. i had to make a custom
bracket for the cam lock parking brake. so it would clear
the power steering unit. it works perfectly now.... allright

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 9_powe10

Oh , I forgot to mention while i had the bed off and doing the other
stuff , I went a head and chopped the top 5-7/8 and added
support gussets to the cage . the roof went on with no problem.
but i did have to drill 2 new holes in the rear of the roof as i had to put the
rear of the cage in a pipe bender and spread them out to fit right... allright

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 10_cho10

And after that. I added a new polaris custom steering wheel.
and burk motor sports HID convertions for the head lights and Crow 4 point harness's. and the HID's and The crow harness are courtesy of Clayboy at BlueGrass UTV... cheers

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 11cust10

And after that , I added a Polaris windshield and
full under body armor with side protection from Aluminum Products.

And of course i installed MAN TIRES. on a brand new set
of factoy S wheels i bought. and we all know
how that turned out..... Rolling Eyes .. Sad

and of course you got to have the stickers in the bed... thatsright

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 12_win10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 13_win10

And i got me a mairs hood scoop I bought from Gunny.
and worked my ass off trying to straighten it out.
But i did and now its ready for paint.

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 14_new10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 15_new10

My hood is all finished now. here it is with the factory PoPo
sticker installed. I was very happy with the way it turned out.
Gunny wish he had it back now , he told me so.... ownedsm

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 16_new10

I went and got some truck mud flaps and cut them down to put
on the RZR. cause i got covered at Bell county. I was not crazy
about doing this. but after the winrock ride , I did not have mud on me.
I had less mud on me than i did with my Rhino with mairs flares on.
and that dont happen in an S . so there staying on there
til someone comes out with something better.... allright
everyone with an S needs these. PM me and i will tell you the best
way to install them to keep you clean. I got it figured out... humper

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 17_mud10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 18_mud10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 19_mud10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 20_mud10

here it is after Winrock. and we did get into some mud.
everything worked great. Take your sway bar and through it as
far as you can . its junk. I had mine off at winrock and it rode 75%
better. and i can hit the curves just fine.from these pictures you see i got a lot of clean up work to do...... thatsright

Notest there is hardly any mud on the dash. at bell county we went through
less mud , and you could hardly see the speedo. My flaps were working.

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 21_aft10

ChrisC's RZR-S Thread 22_aft10

ok So after Winrock i seen the skids held a lot of mud.
cause mine did not have any holes in them... Rolling Eyes
So what started out as just pulling the skids to drill some 2
inch holes , turned into a 40 hour project.... roflmao
I know yall are going to give me shit. as you always do.
But yes i disassembled the whole machine. and did a complete
over haul cleaning and checking of everything. I cleaned my outter ware
filter , changed oil and filter. greased every moving part on the
machine. and took my brakes off cleaned and adjusted them.
and clean clean clean everything. there is no dirt on it no where.
The buttom , even under the skid plate is clean.
its cleaner than the day i brought it home from the dealer.
My water bill will be high this month.... thatsright ... roflmao

So there you have it. thats My RZR-S story and i am sticking to it... lol!
So now i am just waiting on the new Pit Bull MAN TIRES ..... ownedsm
to come out. and we will go put him in the dirt again... thatsright

Chris.... cheers

I don't even know where to start. That is a lot of info to everyone with at one time. However, I have seen the transformation from that start.

It looks really good Chris. The best part is the cage. The best chop job that I have ever seen. Damn thing looks like it was built that way.

But.......... If I had to take my machine apart after each ride to clean......... I would quit riding roflmao thatsright

Mud , I will admit the RZR is harder to clean than the rhino.
Not to much more. but it is more time consuming . it has a few more
cracks and corners to clean. But the positive's well out weigh
the negatives by far..... allright

I am addicted to the power and the much better
ride quality and the climbing ability.
Did i mention the power..... thatsright

Nice looking S ChrisC. Chopping the cage really changes the look of them.
They look so much better with them chopped. They should come from the facory that way.

As a foot note. anyone who is thinking of getting
a windshield for there RZR. I recommend the factory
PoPo windshield. I think it is the best you can get
for fit and finish , and quality. I know at Winrock i had
to clean mud off it 10 times or more. and wipe it down with plexus.
when i got home and washed with soap and water. it looks
like it came out of the box. not one scratch in it. I was
very impressed with the quality of the glass.... allright

Chris.. cheers

Just do not have the time. It Looks like you take that pride in all you own, even the backgrounds of the photos your drive ways and garages, tool boxes, all of it.
Good for you, it all looks wonderful. Nice looking machine and you are very talented.
