| 2 years now and it is time to say goodbye to my original battery. What is the better batteries that some of you all have? Anyone know of a good deal that they got, let me know. Gilleslie got the Super ATV battery holder for his last year. | |

| Gimpy, Go to batteries plus and get their premiem battery for the ranger XP it is 400 CCA the Oddessy is only 375 they also sell the oddessy. The one for the ranger XP will fix right in and the battery terminals are on the correct sides. It is 139.00 cheaper than the oddessy and has a 2 year non prorated warranity. I had one in my Rzr-S when I broke the motor and it worked the winch and lights for a long time and still had charge to get me out. | |

| That one is the XTA LBS. It says it is only 380 CCA. The first one is the only one that has 400 CCA. Which one did you get? | |

| The Oddessy is a much better battery. It is not just about cranking amps. You also have to consider deal pool (using power with out engine running). Also, Heath you need to check the cranking amps on the Odyssey again. They are a little higher then 375
PC925L - Odyssey Batteries

| Yeh you are correct. But for the additional price difference it is not worth it. I used mu winch and bids to get mine out pf woods when motor broke and had no problems especially with the 2 year warranty. | |

Maybe or may be not. To me it was. I plan for the worse and hope for the best. With my Oddessy I can roll my machine back on it's wheels with the winch(maybe 30 min). Let it set while the engine oil gets back to the pan (15 min) and listen to the stereo and drink a few beers. After all that I know she will still start.

| I also have a Odyssey PC925L in mine. I think the RZR S I bought has the one from batteries plus in it. Then on my neighbors RZR we installed a optima yellow top.. They all seem to work pretty well. Although I did have a Odyssey go bad on me after about 6 months.. They did replace it under warranty for 15 dollar shipping fee. You have to mail the caps off the top of the battery to them plus the money, Then they mail you the replacement. It took a couple of weeks, But they do honor their warranty just keep your receipt.
Honestly if I had to do over id probably go with the yellow top. More reserve and more cranking amps. Battery only weights about 2 pounds more, Cost 149 bucks at the local napa and they run them on sale from time to time. I did not have to buy a special bracket to mount his.. I just took a piece of flat bar and mounted it for the battery to sit on.. It took maybe 15 mins to get it in there. It really was very easy and maybe used 5 dollars worth of steel..

Gilleslie went with the Optima. His sets forever before he starts it. Still haven't decided. Finished the addtion on the house enough to get inspections in the next few days. Then I'll free up and get the battery.

Sorry the one I was talking about was an 09, I'm not sure what the difference would be with a 2011. I know under the seats are a little different, but I haven't really compared them. FWIW the small yellow top is not very big. It is to big to go in the stock plastic battery box. But its much smaller then a full sized battery. It also only weighs a couple pounds more then a odyssey battery

| Settled on the battery tray from Super ATV. Brown Truck delivered it today. Ordered the battery last Friday from atbatt. Got the Odyssey PC925 for $155.43 shipped free. They had some kind of special on Friday. Batteries Plus was about $178 and had to wait a week to get it. | |
